Post what you are currently reading here. If you are reading any book, like The Name of This Book Is Secret by Pseudonymous Bosch please yellow it like I did. To do this click on the button that says add book/author, type in the name of the book and select it. It will appear in a number code when you are typing, but after your post is entered it will become yellow. But that is not mandatory. Also, can you put the author's name, too. But that is not mandatory, either.

Master and Margarita is a great book. I read it 25 years ago after returning from a student trip to the USSR - back when it still was - and having had new friends there highly recommend it.

It is ok! Do you mind if you introduce yourself, if you haven't already?

message 22: by Julia (new)

Julia (juliavdc) | 115 comments I'm Julia. (I'm a friend of Zelda and Mary) *jumps up and down* HI ZELDA! HI MARYZLES!
I spend countless hours looking at steampunk stuff on Etsy, reading my favorite blog, and dreaming about what it would be like to sit on the roof.
So yeah, if you haven't been able to tell yet, I'm........irregular.
I'm not good at these bio things. So I'll list what I like:
-Cats
-Books
-Watching Elementary (very good modern Sherlock Holmes show. Highly recommended.)
-Taking pictures then editing them. (See my avatar pic for one)
-Anything Steampunk
So, yeah…
Oh, and overuse "flutterwacking" WAAAAAY too much.

Julia (juliavdc) | 115 comments Hey, I thought of more pointless facts!
-I'm South African, but I was born in CA
-I get sunburned very easily. My skin turns red as a tomato, and in the winter, it's pretty much white.
-I wanna live in NYC
-I want to go to Europe.

1. I know Zelda and Mary, too! :D
2. No one is irregular.
3. If you like Elementary, you will like the BBC show Sherlock.

message 26: by Julia (new)

Julia (juliavdc) | 115 comments Oh, sorry. :P

Hmm. Well, if not irregular, then I'm definitely different. I like the term irregular. One of my favorite quotes: "We're all mad here."

Then again, Mary will back me up, I'm definitely crazy. XD

message 27: by Laszlo, The Professor (new)

Laszlo (steampunk) | 287 comments Mod
No one is different. I can prove it.

message 28: by Julia (new)

Julia (juliavdc) | 115 comments Whaaaaaaaaaaat?

Of course we are all different. Well, unless you are referring to science, how all of our DNA is practically the same. Is that what you mean?

message 29: by Rinasa1234 (new)

Rinasa1234 I'm reading The Warlock by Michael Scott, Artemis Fowl by Eoin Colfir, The Giver by Lois Lowry, and Number the Stars by Lois Lowry.

message 30: by Julia (new)

Julia (juliavdc) | 115 comments Oh! I'm reading The Enchantress by Michael Scott.

message 31: by Julia (new)

Julia (juliavdc) | 115 comments I can prove that we are all different. For starters, I'm a girl, you're a boy. My friend's pet is a dog, mine is a cat.

message 32: by Laszlo, The Professor (new)

Laszlo (steampunk) | 287 comments Mod
Yes. There are billions of boys in the world, just like me, and there are billions of girls in the world, just like you. There are million of dog pet owners in the world, like your friend, and there are million of cat pet owners in the world, like you.

message 33: by Julia (new)

Julia (juliavdc) | 115 comments But, then you are saying that we are similar. But not that we are all the same.

*sighs*

message 34: by Laszlo, The Professor (new)

Laszlo (steampunk) | 287 comments Mod
Not necessarily.

message 35: by Laszlo, The Professor (new)

Laszlo (steampunk) | 287 comments Mod
Yes, but there will always be a person with the same teeny-weeny thing.

message 36: by Laszlo, The Professor (new)

Laszlo (steampunk) | 287 comments Mod
Yes. So, as a whole, we are all the same, but individually, we are all different.

message 37: by Laszlo, The Professor (new)

Laszlo (steampunk) | 287 comments Mod
Yup.

message 38: by Julia (new)

Julia (juliavdc) | 115 comments Irregularity and abnormality DOES exist.

What about people with synthesis?

message 39: by Julia (new)

Julia (juliavdc) | 115 comments People that have fears of height. People with fears of needles. People with fears of blankets. How is that not abnormal? (Especially the blankets one.)

If it does exist, everyone has it, so no one has it.

And, on an Evolutionary scale, it would be quite stupid to have abnormality.

Synthesis?

message 45: by Julia (new)

Julia (juliavdc) | 115 comments If we were all the same, that would be biologically disastrous.

(My friend happens to be synthetic. I'm am slightly. I associate numbers with colors, names with colors, etc.......)

message 46: by Laszlo, The Professor (new)

Laszlo (steampunk) | 287 comments Mod
Do you mean Synthesia?

Julia wrote: "If we were all the same, that would be biologically disastrous.

Not necessarily. There are many types of species' with inhabitants that are the same.

message 48: by Julia (new)

Julia (juliavdc) | 115 comments Synesthesia is when your mind associates things with other things. For example, you hear a piano playing, you immediately see green. (Or think of it)
I am *slightly* synthetic, so when I see or hear my name, Julia, I see a light icy blue color. When I read your name, Laszlo, I see a brown color.

(Please excuse me, not synthesis. My phone messes up my spelling. SYNESTHETIC.)
