Mike (MJMorgan) | 38 comments The D'artagnan romances as collectivley dubbed the tales of "The Three Musketeers" by Dumas is from I would've been thought in three volumes.

"The Three Musketeers"
"Twenty Years After"
"The Man in the Iron Mask"

Well apparently I am wrong. The third installment is made up of several volumes that are almost equal in size to the original two installments. The problem here is, that from I know "The Man in the Iron Mask" is the only part that can be found in English.

I hope that I am wrong and that I can find the other parts translated as I'd love to read the whole story.(Yes I know everyone I can get my lazy fingers going and look it up on the net, but that wouldn't be as much fun as griping about it first now would it?).

I have nothing to say on this subject.

Well, nearly nothing.

I liked how The Three Musketeers was worked into the plot of Slumdog Millionaire.

Sarah | 13815 comments When they ask the question about the Three Musketeers, my sister shouted "D'artagnan!" I slapped her upside the head.

Do I remember correctly that D'artagnan was the name of the condom company in Michael Bishop's Unicorn Mountain? I don't know why I would remember a detail like that from a book I haven't read in fifteen years, but it just flitted through my head.
