Elizabeth Day Now that you've read the whole series, what is your favorite? I think mine might be The Penultimate Peril.

Yuval The best sentence is at the end of The End - "The end of The End is found at the end of The End"

Emiri Tachibana The Wide Window. I found it somewhat amusing, somehow.

Rashika (is tired) i know which ones i dont like as much (the miserable mill and the vile village)
but i cannot decide my favorite

Dakota Miserable Mill was not that great. I liked The Grimm Grotto the most.

Yuval Ersatz Elevator, Vile Village and Penultimate Peril

Yuval Haven't you noticed similarities between Jerome and Hector? I noticed they both didn't like to argue (Hector from being unbelievably "SKITTISH"), and they both tried unsuccessfully to help the orphans.

Shay Hmm, I liked The Bad Beginning, The Reptile Room, and The Hostile Hospital the best

:D

I also liked the Miserable Mill :)

lOVE THESE BOOKS!!!!! They say they're for "children" and yet, so many older people enjoy them. They're AWESOME!

But I think I liked...... I really don't know. I liked ALL of them.

So sad though. so sad.

Figen This is probably the most hardest question I've encountered in my entire life. I cannot choose, they each have their own good qualities to them and I cannot find any bad qualities.

I'll need to have a good think about this!

message 13: by Sara (new) - rated it 4 stars

Sara I think either The Austre Academy,The Eratz Elevator, The Miserable Mill or The Penultimate Peril.

Monique I think either The slippery slope or The End

The Slippery Slope!

Bad Beginning, Penultimate Peril, and The End! Weird combination though, I know, but I just like them!

QueenMargaery The Penultimate Peril. The plot has so many twists, my heart was beating so fast when I was reading the book. Haha! =) But I loved them all.

Possibly The Bad Beginning, The Wide Window or The Austre Academy can't decide on which I like more though, prob The Austre Academy, but I have mixed feelings on it.

Bridget i liked the bad beginning or the grim grotto the best

Chisom O Id think i can pick one. EWven though i liked the series, its so sad and tragic, i would feel heartless if i picked a fav

Neelam I'm currently re-reading the series (which I haven't done since The End came out!) and I really can't choose a favourite! They're all brilliant in different ways. But probably Book the First: The Bad Beginning, because it set the background for the series beautifully and it really gives you an idea of how despicable Olaf, his henchmen and his schemes are.

Ana C This is a though one, as I personally think the whole series is amazing. But the one that enjoyed reading the most was definitely The Austere Academy. Giving the Baudelaire siblings a chance of having friends, and having a "normal" life, was something different, and nice.

Nae The Carnivorous Carnival

message 24: by Tami (new) - added it

Tami The reptile room.

message 25: by Lexi (new) - rated it 5 stars

Lexi I loved this series, but my favorite has to be the Slippery Slope. I love the chemistry between Quigley and Violet. I'm a hopeless romantic.

Melissa I loved the Reptile Room. I love Uncle Montey and his love for the children. I was so sad when he died.

Maddie The Reptile Room or maybe The Wide Window? Oh but the Eratz Elevator! Ah, I just don't know!

Nathan I think my favorite was the Austere Academy just because it was such a backwards and strange school. I also really liked the Carnivorous Carnival because, well, it's a carnival!

Katherine E-J The Bad Beginning and The Reptile Room. :) Such a sad, sad series..

Jennifer I liked the Austere Academy....the poor kids FINALLY had friends. I kept hoping they'd show up again. I was disappointed. Boo.
