A book that has been cancelled before being published, and that will definitely not be published (so not one that has just had its publication date delayed, even indefinitely), should be deleted if it has no ISBN, and NAB'd if it has one.

Good point.

K, Nz | 162 comments Hi,

I have a query re Zoë Sharp
Busted Flush Press only published the first novel in the series. The isbn's for the next 2 BFP editions keep showing up in GR, and they're in limbo, in a sense. They haven't actually been published - though I guess they could be if another publisher picks them up.

with this one I removed the publisher details, as a work around, because I have deleted both a couple of times before, though the importers keep bringing them in.

Any advice/suggestions gratefully received :)

Krystal109 | 1086 comments You can add the fact that they are in limbo on books description.

If there is enough info to explain the listing being there, although never published, we can leave the listing.

For example, if a publishing house went bust or the rights reverted to another company, this info can be added to the description and the listing would be a reference book.

Krystal109 | 1086 comments It's a way to leave the listing in case it ever is eventually published without deleting/reappear from imports or NABing them and then having issues if it is published.

I usually just explain why the edition is there and any info about when it was supposed to be published. If a cover was released, that can be added too. In other words, fill it up like any other book, but in the description explain the books unpublished statis.

I lot of Manga had this happen when the English publisher TokyoPop lost all their licenses and shut down their American branch. That is the only reason I know about this.
