sherrie - october 31st, 1964. a dark and chilly night when kids around the world celebrated my birth and rec'd offerings of candy and goodies in my behalfMeet The Loopers! sounds like my family. i have 3 brothers and a sister and we are all loud and funny. now we have tons of kids zipping around of all ages (2-25) and out-laws and in-laws and ex-husbands (of my mom) and exotic animals (emu's, pot bellied pigs, miniature mules) running around at my mom's thanksgiving
Sounds like the Sprinkles and the Loopers would either get right along or start a big ol' family fued. Prolly both. I always wanted a pot belly pig. :)And, where were you born & what time, oh Prince of All Hallows Eve? I somehow got jipped not being born on Halloween, cause it's my favorite holiday. I had no idea I was celebrating your illustrious birthday.
but isn't that a ggod thing? Having your b'day and your favorite holiday on the same day wouldn't be fun.
For me it would be like having my b'day on Thanksgiving.

Yea, but Halloween isn't one where you normally get presents (although, I do because my LTFB is way cool... and, I started the tradition) so I wouldn't be missing out on that. Plus, you get to dress up as anything you want and go to parties where everyone thinks you are awesome because it's your birthday.Okay, well that's my fantasy about having a Halloween birthday anyway. Really, I just always thought it would give me an edge with those 'beyond the veil' (spooky music). I had a Marie LeVeaux fixation for a bit.
I dunno, Halloween just always makes me happy. It's just the Witchie Woman in me, I guess.
Kevin, do you have a Witchie Woman side that we aren't seeing? Enquiring minds want to know.
sherrie - born in kokomo, IN around 7pm. i always had a double-dip day with the halloween activities, (which by the way lasted several days when i was a kid. two days of trick or treating preceded by a couple of soley tricking days)and a small but tasteful (i try to remember it this way rather than remembering it accurately as being cheap) celebration. i did a blog last year about halloween that people who are around my age might get:http://kevonia2.blogspot.com/2006/10/...
and as for being a witchy woman -
Woo hoo witchy woman
See how high she flies
Woo hoo witchy woman
She got the moon in her eye
Thanks for the song... that is my very favorite! I even have a shirt that says it that I often wear around the house. (This is my alter ego, but don't tell anyone)I like your writing style Kevin, it's slightly stream-of-consciousness and shows your quirky view of the world with an acidic wit.
Okay, ready for this? You are a Scorpio with a Rising Gemini and a Moon in Virgo. A really interesting mix there. I'll put something together & PM you, cause we wouldn't want all your secrets spilling out into the threads, now would we?
Scorpios are usually intense, driven, sneaky, intelligent, observant, highly sexual, always in action, and often have to struggle through some very traumatic things in their lives, but they are definitely the ones to make it to the other side and gain an immense strength of character from it.

You asked for it Kevin, this is what I have been living with for the past 8 and half years. I am sure that after Sherrie and I met she went home and determined weather or not we were a good match.

Really Sally - Instead of having two separate days in the year to celebrate and have fun, there would be only one. Now your birthday and Presidents day on the same day would be OK.
Yep, that is exactly what I did. Charted his natal signs and matched 'em up with mine. And, if I had gone solely on what I 'thought' they said about us, being complete opposites in many respects, I would have never given in to his Gemini charm.Good thing I'm open minded... and that he knew how to charm the pants off of me (no comment), cause now I see how well we fit. Astrology isn't something to predict the future, it should be more of a peek into possibilities.
your brief comments about scorpio's have peaked my interest. ok, so......i am not sure i exactly have a style to my writing, seems more of a brain dump. an inner monologue spilled out. thanks for taking the time to read it. i keep writing thinking i will eventually do something worthwhile.
jared - you got a good thing going. way way better than some shallow chick reading people magazine and watching american idol all the time. we guys have a different method for qualifying girls. astrology never really factors in LOL

"Clever" keeps me in the house.
I think having my birthday in June is the best because I am always less than six months away from presents. However, now that I have a daughter who was ever so disappointed that we didn't celebrate the Chinese New Year, we tend to have a little "celebration" for everything and everyone.
Further explanation of the Chinese New Year fiasco. Our daughter got in the truck after school and was just totally depressed. "What's wrong kiddo?" I asked, hoping for something easy. "We didn't celebrate the Chinese New Year." "Um Jessi, we aren't Chinese." "I know," she says, "but we should celebrate every holiday." To which I reply, "Jessi there is no way we could do that OR afford that." "Daddy, they are important holidays!" Well she has now started crying and I told her that I didnt even know it was the Chinese New Year which didn't help because that means I didn't care enough to know. WHEW.... So we ended up having Chinese food and watching Kung Fu Panda. About as Chinese as we get. Thanks to the school system for teaching them about other cultures. That kid is learning more in 1st grade than I ever did.
i had a friend from the U.K. who was married to a Mexican woman and they lived in the USA. every third day was a holiday of some sort for them.i love the "Jessi, we aren't Chinese" LOLOL
I dated that "shallow" chick for 5 years. READ -- Banging my head against a brick wall. At the end of the 5 years Sher swooped in and snatched me from the firey depths of hell.Little did I know, pillow talk would end up being about string theory, black holes, and 2012.
Again not complaining just amazed at my good luck.
yeah, guys like us seem to marry over our headswow, that kind of talk in the sack would totally be sexy to me (ie: start having sex and shut up)

There are those nights LOL, but you never heard that from me.
Usually the sex is the break in the dialogue, not the precursor to or aftermath of. "Sher swooped in and snatched me from the firey depths of hell"
Uh, yea... I befriended him on a late-night shift and we talked about 'bad relationships', and he pretty much pounced. It was subtle (like a sonic boom)... via MSN Messenger (for hours)... but I was trying to run away as fast as I could, cause he was already taken (by a psycho-harpie). I just got hooked before I realized it. Then he moved in (literally). What was I supposed to do?
I'll bet you swamped your wife too, Kev. We poor innocent creatures just didn't know what we were in for.
I'm not sure I love the two of you guys comisserating together.

I feel like I should have something to say here, but I don't. I liked reading the posts, though. It's too early to think about quantum physics. Or Nascar.
