you should read City of Bones (The Mortal Instruments, #1) by Cassandra Clare ...it's an awesome book :) It's the first book to her awesome series The Mortal Instraments...:)

★ Mist ☆ Cassidy ★ (rockclimbingirl) | 20 comments Don't get me wrong, I think Cassandra Clare is an amazing author, but sometimes I find her books drone on a little. However, that's mainly with the Mortal Instruments and not the Infernal Devices. I think the main reason for that though is that I don't really like Clary as a herione. Love Jace and Simon though <3

I've been trying to get a copy of the first ID at the library but I'm still on the waiting list!!!!! Can't take it!!!!!!!!! LOVE THEM!

What's wrong with Clary? I didn't like the whole I'm-your-brother-no-I'm-not thing that Clare did in the first three books, though. It does drone on, but it usually is picked up by an interesting event sometime soon!

I find in many situations that she is depends to much on Jace (like when he gets mad at her she acts as if the world had ended), that she whines a lot, and that a lot of the decissions she makes puts other people in danger. I also just find that she's a stock character - in a lot of ways, she just like the majority of other herione's. Plus, I hated how she reacted in several different situations.

That's just how I feel though.

I agree with you. The books themselves, I loved. But during the 4th and 5th books of TMI I found myself starting to dislike the way Clary handled things. And her attitude, and just I don't know. Her. But, understand that I absolutely freakin am in LOVE with Jace. So he makes up for it all. That gorgeous golden bod of his....*sigh*

I agree, Clary always bugged me. She's just so stubborn, kind of like a five year old!!!
Also agree on Jace. LOVE HIM!!!! He's so sarcastic, but he can also be really sweet, :D!!! But as the books go on he gets all boring and not as sarcastic. It made me sad! I like Jace in the very first book.

★ Mist ☆ Cassidy ★ (rockclimbingirl) | 20 comments Love Jace in his whole hot-and-golden glory, but my only complaint is that sometimes he sounds more like an old man who's been through all the journeys of love than a teenager who is falling in love for the first time. Most of the time, what he says to Clary is really cute, but others times it's like just no. He sounds ridiculous when he's suppose to be a teenaged boy. I have tons of guy friends and not a single one of them would ever, ever speak like that.

It totally works for Magnus though. After all, he's immortal and has been alive for thousands and thousands of years. He's wise. And just freaking amazing.

Agreed, Magnus is amazing! I cried when him and Alec broke up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
