He kissed her back placing his hand on the back of her neck.
Ezra appeared out of nowhere((thought I'd bring him back)) and looked at Penny.His eye twitched when he saw she was covered in what he thought was blood

Penny caught sight of Ezra and her eyes widened. "Uncle?" She said, a grin bursting over her face as she began to stalk him. ((Hell yeah!))
He continued to stare at her just horrified at what he thought she was covered in.He started backing away from him
Penny lunged at him, giggling insanely. She made it look like her hands were going for his neck but really, they wrapped around his torso and she hugged him so tightly he could barely breathe. "Hi, Uncle!" She said, grinning up at him. "Where've you been?" The sauce was smeared down her chin and face, red and bright.
Lily was too busy making out with her husband to notice. ((Best mother ever.))

Penny was hurt by his refusal to adore her back. Her eyes watered. "Uncle Ezzy?" She cried. "Why do you hate me?" She started wailing, loud and plaintive. Lily jerked away from Mason and leaped to her own feet, alert. "Ezra!" She roared.
He jumped hugging himself,"I'm sorry!Look what she's covered in!To be honest it scares me!"he said gesturing to Penny.He was still scared of Lily.

Penny smiled up at her father. She looked at Ezra in confusion. "What do you mean, Uncle Ezzy?" She pointed to the mauled pizza on the counter. "Do you want some too?" Lily rolled her eyes and smacked Ezra's arm. "Idiot." She muttered.
Ezra grabbed his arm,"No thank you Penny."he said rubbing his arm.Mason shook his head and snapped his fingers.Ezra's arm caught fire and he started to put it out,"Stop setting me on fire!"he said to Mason who was laughing at him
Lily cackled. "Do it again, Masy!" She urged him on happily while Penny watched with mild amusement at the silly adults.

Mason started choking on his laughter when he snapped his fingers setting Ezra's leg and arm on fire.Ezra started to put himself out again.

Penny watched the pretty flames with interest, then reached over with her hand and grabbed another slice of pizza. She accidentally set the food on fire with her power but ate it anyway.
Noir 'poofed' into the hideout again with Nick. She took a deep breath and let it out stiffly. She smoothed her hair back into place and her street clothes turned back into her black dress again.
Nick exchanged Garry's school clothes for his traditional black cloak and pants. He made the rim of his new glasses black to match. "Next time I see that wolf, I'll kill him." He growled, his eyes darkening to black.
Noir simply nodded. "Only if you let me help." She said darkly and glanced around. "He'll get what's coming to him. Don't worry."
Nick smiled and kissed Noir again. He glanced at the drama going on around Lily's family and took Noir's hand. "Let's go somewhere more quiet." He said, starting to slink away towards the rooms.
She allowed herself to be led off, following his gaze and eyeing the scene with what could be called interest. Dysfunctional families were very interesting.
Nick paused halfway to his room, noticing her interest. "Unless you'd like to stay and watch?" He asked, nodding in understanding.
Noir glanced over at him and shook her head, smirking. "No," She said. "Thanks, but I'd feel safer at a distance." She had figured out where they had been headed and kept walking. Fire wasn't really a comfortable thing she liked to be around, either.
Nick followed her, glancing back at the loud family with slight disdain.
She stopped, finally, in his room and looked out the door at the family literally playing with fire. Noir felt a little wrench of extreme uncomfort at the sight of the flames but she ignored it and stiffled the desire to simply stride over to put them out, simply swallowing and turning away.
Nick sensed her discomfort and closed the door, letting the darkness surround them. "Licht." Nick hissed and a soft silver glow emanated from the ceiling, illuminating his dark and plain room.
Noir clasped her hands together and glanced up at the ceiling as it began to glow. "Thanks," She gave Nick a faint smile.
Nick gave her a small smile in return. "Of course." He went over to the bookcase and placed the book on it, then rested the notebook on the desk. He would look at it later.
Noir played with her hair a little, the thin blonde strands slipping through her fingers as she watched him. "Are you ever afraid, Nick?" She suddenly asked.
Nick glanced back at her. "That's an odd question." He said, before answering. "But I suppose not. I have faith in my shadows and if my body dies, although I had never lost my body before, I can simply get another one." He tilted his head to the side. "Afraid of dying, or afraid of just...things?"
"Just in general." Noir replied summarily. She glanced away at the bookshelves. "Death, things, people." She listed a few off.
Nick shook his head. "Not really. I used to be, when I didn't know how to control my shadows." He moved closer to her, eyes softened with worry. "Are you?"
Noir faked a scoff. "No." Then she slid her gaze over to Nick. She saw his gentle worry and suddenly didn't feel like lying anymore. She laced her fingers together and shifted slightly onto her other foot. "I am sometimes." She amended quietly.
"I don't blame you. It's nothing to be ashamed of." Nick said, although he believed Loki thought differently. He laid his hand on her woven fingers and took them apart gently, holding them in his. "I will protect you from those fears." He promised.
Noir bit her lip as Nick took her hands apart, looking up at him. "That might be difficult," She said, gaze flicking back and forth between his eyes.
Nick frowned slightly. "How so?" He asked.
Noir paused before answering. She paused for a long time, their entwined hands becoming more obvious to her. "Because I'm only afraid when you're not with me." She finally whispered. Fear like she had never felt in her entire life had gripped her when he had died, and a deep coldness she couldn't shake was just leaving her; now that Nick was back. Even now she held his hand as if afraid he would be pulled away again into the shadows.

Nick just looked at her, squeezing her hands as shadows purred against Noir's cheeks, trying to comfort her. "You don't have to be scared anymore." He whispered, and kissed her.

Unfortunately, she hadn't known about that power until after he had been shot. She put her arms around his waist and put her head onto his chest quietly. "I know."

Penny walked over to Mason and tugged on his leg. She held up her arms because she wanted to be picked up even though she was the size of a seven year old now.
