((Yes, it's true. It's the same with almost all animal meats. HORSE MEAT TOO. Just any meat; the animals are tortured usually before they're slaughtered. Unless you get them from a local, organic seller.))

"I lived through something again, the moment that made me join Loki's army." She closed her eyes. "The reason I gave up my soul. It's bothrring me terribly." Noir took a deep breath.
"I'm sorry I made you relive that." Nick murmured, lowering his eyes. "I really am sorry."
Noir looked up with sad eyes. "You are?" She said quietly.

Noir sighed, staring at Nick. "Nick, I forgive you." She looked down at her hands. "Do you know what I saw, when you touched me?" She asked, not caring whether or not he knew anymore.
Nick paused before he answered. "No, I didn't." He lied.
"Oh. Good." Noir sniffed, straightening. She studied Nick carefully. Here he was, apologizing to her after making such an evil impression. She had respect for that.
Nick blinked, unsure of how to continue. "Do you...want to talk about it?" He shuffled his feet awkwardly.
Noir glanced at him sideways, wondering whether or not to trust him further. "Fine, I guess I owe you an explaination..." She said. "But I will kill you if you tell anyone." She promised with meaning.
Nick smiled grimly. "You have my word." He said, bowing slightly.
Noir nodded stiffly, reassured by Nick's promise. She gathered herself and composed."Before I joined forces with Loki, I used to work for a man with no moral compass to guide him in his deeds. He hired me to spy on people and exploit their secrets in ways that made him a very powerful man. I was good at what I did, very good." Noir paused. "I was partnered with a boy around my own age whom I got along very well with. We worked for together for a few years until I was given a lone assignment that was different from the ones I was used to. I was given the task of assasinating my partners parents, who had abandoned him as a child. " Noir took a deep breath, remaini g composed. "My partner somehow got wind of my task and begged me not to complete it."Her face distanced itself gaze fixated on another space. "I was torn. Either I give way to my partner, whom I had come to love, or lose him by obeying my boss, the closest thing I hhad ever had to a father. I went yo him and pleaded with him, asking him to forget the mission." Noir shuddered. "My boss threatened to... To kill my partner, Will, if I didn't co operate.I ended up murdering William's family, in turn hoping my boss would spare his life. A hope that was cut short." Noir ran her fingers through her hair. "He killed William. To teach me a lesson." Her face hardened. "And then I killed himand joined Loki." She finished, voice monotone a devoid of feeling.

Nick was silent, listening to Noir's story. He felt even worse about making her bring up those horrible memories. He didn't know what to say, but simply looked at her, his face softening into sadness.

Somehow he had won her trust, a feat that had only been accomplished once before. She looked down and watched him brush her arm sorrily. Noir looked back up at Nick with open, clearing eyes and blinked. He really was sorry, and he was actualy being nice to her. A rarely touched place in her feelings poked through and for the first time in a long while, Noir felt warm despite Nick's frozen touch.
"It's not your fault," She said.

Noir smiled back this time. "Kind of," she admitted, pulling her back
from her face and tucking it behind her ear in an effort to get rid of all evidence of her breakdown. "But thank you, Nick. I understand " She added.
"Heh." Nick chuckles quietly. After a moment of silence, he glances at Noir, his eyes questioning. Before he can talk himself out of it, he leans in and kisses her lightly on the lips. "I forgot to tell you before. You're very pretty." He grins sheepishly.
(And it begins..)Noir jumped as Nick kissed her, totally taken by surprise. She stared at him, mortified that she wasn't furious. Instead, her usual pale complexure colored to a blazing blush and she smiled brightly. "Nick, did you just... Kiss me?" She said, the surprise making her heart speed. "You are so curious." She finished, thinking. Knowing she might just kick herself later, Noir suddenly kissed him back. She stopped quickly, as if afraid she would make Nick mad.

They've always been scared of me." He runs a hand through his raven black hair, the smile fading from his face. Why did I tell her that? He mentally scolds himself.
