Lily smiled weakly at him. "What happened?" She whispered, taking Penny into her arms. Vaguely, she heard a knock at the door but she ignored it. Nick gave Noir a grateful smile and took her hand again, squeezing it.
Not letting go of him, Noir waited a moment before knocking again, louder this time. "L-Lily?" She called, cursing her voice for stumbling.

Lily threw a glare Ezra's way before turning back to Mason. "I died?" She murmured. She felt completely normal, no pain, no poison coursing through her veins. She looked up when Noir called. "Ezra, open the door." She demanded.

Nick walked in, dragging Noir after him. "What the hell happened?!" He exclaimed, looking frightened. Lily gave both Ezra and Mason a look that said don't tell them.
She stiffled a start as Ezra suddenly opened the door. Noir peered inside the room hesitantly. "Lily?" Then she was abruptly dragged in by Nick, blinking in surprise at his fire.

Lily sighed when her husband and his brother were no help. "I fell asleep. Masy thought I was dead. Silly boy." She shook her head at him, smiling. Nick blinked and frowned, looking more confused than ever.
Mason coughed a laugh and poked Penny's tummy then Lily's nose

Noir fidgeted with her hands out of nervousness, realized she was doing so, and clasped them behind her back firmly. "Uh huh." She said simply, a blank look on her face.
Penny squealed and grabbed his finger, bringing it into her mouth. Lily blinked at him, making a face.
Nick looked outraged. "But I saw you die!" He blurted out. Lily's eyes widened and she exchanged a glance with Mason, not saying anything.

Noir crossed her arms, suddenly defensive. "Fess up." She said flatly as she watched Lily's reaction scrutinizingly. "What happened?"
Penny made little mewing sounds and tried to grab his hands with her tiny fingers. Lily smiled at her daughter before looking up at Noir, her eyes dangerously red. "I died. And I came back. Big deal. Everyone does it these days." She spat.
Nick took a step back, surprised at her venom.
She kept her ground and hid her surprise at Lily's intensity. "Well, then I guess I was born yesterday." Noir said sarcastically, staring hard at Lily. She wasn't liking this treatment and wasn't planning on putting up with it. "Please, Lily?" She added in a slightly pleading voice.
Mason picked up Penny not bothered by Lily's anger at Noir and gave Penny a kiss on the head and bounced her
Penny giggled and kissed Mason back on his chin.Lily sighed. "I don't know. I just fell asleep and Mason said I had stopped breathing. Now I'm back and I don't feel sick anymore."

(Cu)Noir listened quietly, feeling her steely composure ebb. She gave Mason a quick glance eyes flickering between him and Lily. "I see," She murmered, letting her arms fall to her sides. "You.. dont remember dying?" She asked slowly, but steadily.

Penny lurched, squealing, and latched herself onto his head, her fists in his hair. Lily looked at Noir, her eyes narrowing. "Yes. I remember falling asleep. And then nothing. Cold. Dark. Nothing." Her eyes widened and she looked away.
Noir didn't really know what to say. That didn't sound too pleasent, to say the least. "Well," She began, resting her arm by holding onto the back of her neck. "You're alive now." She gave Penny a darting glance before quickly blinking and looking away.
Penny looked at Noir and reached out, grabbing hold of her hair and pulling. Lily hid her smile behind her hand. Penny seemed to like hair.
Nick almost stepped in to help Noir but Penny kind of scared him.
((Brave fellow isnt he?))Noir jumped painfully hard and her head cocked to Penny so it didn't pull as much. She paled and hesitantly took Penny's fingers off of her hair with startling gentleness. Her hands shook only the tiniest bit as she erected stature and took a step away from the baby.
((Indeed he is.))Penny growled and continued to stare at Noir even as she stepped away.
Nick took Noir's arm and pulled her away from the demon/mutant baby. "We'll just be going now." He said quietly. Penny turned her intense stare to him and he nearly yelped.
((LOL ))Noir bit her lip and watched Penny warily, her guard so strong her shoulders tucked into themselves and she kept close to Nick, pale as a sheet. She was confused. It was just a baby, but she felt so uncomfortable...
Nick walked briskly out of the room, his cloak blowing, taking Noir with him. "That baby scares the shadows out of me." He whispered to her as he shut the door behind him.Lily heard the remark and giggled, taking Penny off Mason's head and hugging her close.
Noir perked sideways as she heard Lily'g barely audible giggle. She frowned, looking over at Nick. "I know what you mean." She murmered, relieved to just be out of the room.
Nick sighed and ran a hand through his hair. He looked around at the empty hallway. "What now?" He played with a small shadow between his hands.
Noir shrugged, watching the shadow in his hands ponderously. She suddenly had an idea and sent her blue sparks twining around her own fingers with a hardly distinct crackling sound. Reaching out, she took his hand holding the shadow and the cold sparks danced around in his shadow, casting no light but floating and singing in quiet whispers of their magic with electric pops. She smiled a little and shrugged again, this time mescheviously. "Got any video games?" She asked quietly, watching him.
Nick watched the electric shadows with fascination, looking at Noir with wonder. "Uh.." He stammered slightly for a response. "I guess? Slenderman?" He shrugged sheepishly. ((Btw, your new profile pic is AWESOME.))
She grinned, happy with his reaction. "Sure." Noir said, taking hr hand back and letting her sparks die slowly. ((Thanks! I doodled it like, five mins ago? Lolz!))

Nick smiled at her and walked into his room. He let go of his hand and went over to the computer, booting it up and turning on the game. "Have you played this before?" He asked.
Thomas was in the living room, having just got back from being outside shopping.

Nick's room was dark, of course, with black walls and a black bed. Black bookshelves lined the walls, littered with an abundance of books, movies, and video games. It was clean, down to the alphabetical order of the books the movies. "You just walk around this park, looking for eight pieces of paper; death notes. But this guy, slenderman, is in the park and can kill you so you have to be careful. It's a jump scare game." Nick explained.

She followed behind him closely, taking his hand momentarily and squeezing reassuringly before letting go and knocking on the door steadily. Noir glanced at Nick and nodded solemnly, her face purposely steady and mouth twitching with a smile to try and help him feel better.
