"That's it, the head's coming out." Thomas encouraged.

Mason lost feeling in his hand and wrist due to Lily crushing his hand he felt tired he blew out a breath,"This is nerve wracking." he said stroking Lily's hair with his free and un-damaged hand

With one final push, Lily snapped the wooden board in half with her teeth. She collapsed against the bed as Thomas caught the baby, the umbilical cord still attached. "It's a girl." He said, smiling a little even though his face and arms was covered in blood. He wrapped a towel around the baby girl and cut the umbilical cord with scissors. Thomas handed the baby to Mason.
"Congratulations."

Mason took the baby,"Thank you."he said with a smile.Mason looked at the baby girl then at Lily

Lily smiled up at Mason, her eyes tired. Wordlessly, she held her arms out for the baby.

Lily held the baby gently, smiling down at her. As expected, the baby had little cat ears on the top of it's head, and a little tail coming out of it's lower back. The baby girl opened her mouth and let out a yowl, sounding more like an animal than a human.
Lily almost laughed with happiness.

Boki clapped. "Congrstulations!!!...... Cupcake now?" she asked holding up the red one from earlier

"Penelope." Lily burst out, grinning hugely and her eyes shining.
The baby cried out in response, her ears twitching.

Penny opened her eyes slowly, blinking a few times. Lily gestured for Mason to come closer. Penny had the brightest yellow demonic eyes.

Lily looked at Boki and took the cupcake. "Thank you." She said. To her surprise, Penelope swiped up and snatched a handful of the frosting and began sucking on it.
Thomas put an arm around Boki and smiled at the new family, wondering if he would ever experience this with Boki.

Boki glanced up at Thomas, turning her gaze back to the family after a moment. She was thinking the same thing. She laughed as the baby took the frosting. Hah, she looked just like her mother smiling with blood on her face.

Penny looked up at Mason and held her tiny hand out, smiling a big toothless smile.

The minute she touched Mason, Penny burst into bright red flames. She giggled and bounced a little at the pretty colors.
"Does that answer your question?" Lily said, looking at Penelope proudly.

Lily held her hand out towards Penny and couldn't feel any heat. Penelope giggled again; she sounded like her insane mother.
"That's strange." Lily smiled, taking her from Mason's arms. The flames switched out when she touched Lily.

Thomas quietly removed the blood soaked towel and put a clean blanket over Lily. That's when he noticed all the blood and frowned, realizing something. "She lost a lot of blood. I'm wondering about that." He whispered to Boki as he watched Lily carefully. She was definitely exhausted, but other than that, she seemed okay.

Lily didn't say anything, just brushing her hand over Penny's face lightly.

Boki shrugged, but her voice had minor concern. "Well, she has a lot of blood."

Penny looked back at Ezra with glowing yellow eyes. They narrowed at him and she held out her hands toward Mason's brother. Lily's eyes widened and she shot Ezra a warning look and bared her teeth. Penny giggled, still looking at Ezra.

Lily growled one more time at Ezra, then wrapped Penny tighter in the blanket. Killer or not, Lily was already super protective of this baby. Penny let out an indignant "mrow!" at being covered up.

Lily let out a sigh of relief when he was gone. She uncovered Penny again, her ears and hair all ruffled. "Sorry sweetie." She murmured. Penelope growled, sounding like a little kitten, and poked Lily's chest.
"Oh, she's hungry." Lily said as if it had just occurred to her and pulled up her shirt. Penny latched on immediately, suckling happily.
