Noir caught Nick as he threatned to fall, pulling him back up by their still joined hands. She laughed and smirked at him. "You ok?" She giggled, free hand over her mouth.

Nick glanced at the bed and back at Noir. "The bed in my room isn't evil." He said...before realizing the suggestiveness of that sentence and he slapped a hand over his mouth, his eyes wide.

She looked at him for one long moment, her face frozen. Then, when the tension was at it's peak, Noir burst out laughing at the face he made. She smirked at Nick, putting her hands on her hips. "Uh huh," She said.
Nick shook his head rapidly. "Forget I said that." He said, staring at the floor.
"Too late." Noir smiled. "Want to head over there, then, if the evilness of my bed makes you uncomfortable?" She paused. "Nothing will happen, if that's what you're thinking. Trust me." She took his hand. ((gtg))

Noir bumped his shoulder playfully. "It's a possibility." She admitted jokingly. "I always assumed it was evil. I had to have something to blame my nightmares on." She shrugged.
"I don't have nightmares." Nick says, lying back on the bed and staring at the ceiling. "Since I inflict nightmares onto people, it seems to make me incapable of having them. No dreams either. It sometimes makes me wish I could have nightmares, just so I could have the dreams that come alongside them."
Noir gazed down at Nick thoughtfully. That was an interesting perspective, although it was saddening."Dreams aren't always what people make of them. They're confusing, and they often bring back things you've forgotten for a long time. Nightmares are nothing to wish for, even if you get dreams sometimes." She paused. "I know sometimes feeling so twisted and scared I wished I could just sleep without dreams to confuse me even more." She sighed, leaning back on her arms.
Nick sat up slowly, his eyes sliding to Noir. "I can make that happen." He said quietly, shadows beginning to twirl around his fingers.
She stopped and stared at the darkness in his hands for a moment. Noir looked over at Nick and swallowed. "... You would do that?" Her whisper was barely audible.
Nick looked down at his hands unsurely for a second, before looking back up at her. "I could...I once did something...To this girl." He closed his eyes for a moment, swallowing. "I was trying to ask her something but she kept screaming and running away from me. I got angry. This was back when I couldn't control my powers...or my anger." He said quickly, not wanting to alarm her. "Without warning, these shadows came out of my hands and wrapped around her neck. They went into the back of her head and disappeared; the girl didn't feel a thing and just ran away. I was too scared to follow. A few months later she came to me again and accused me of poisoning her or something. She said that ever since I had touched her, she never had dreams anymore." Nick paused, glancing up at Noir for a reaction.
Noir stared at Nick, unsure about how to respond. She tore her gaze away from his and fixated on a spot across the room, her thoughts mixed and opaque. "You did that?" She murmered, looking back at him with thoughtful eyes.

Her first reaction was to say no, that she didn't like being changed. But then she remembered all those
nights of waking up screaming or crying because of the vicious nighmares
that haunted her constantly and came to a finl decision. She squeezed his hand and nodded. "I would like you to." She whispered.
"Are you sure? So far, I haven't been able to find out a way to reverse it." Nick said, squeezing her hand back.

Boki grinned. Her breath was hot-chocolately and candy cane. And vanilla glitter. She exhaled loudly in his face.
"My thoughts take a turn when I sleep, Nick." She closed her eyes. "I have dreamt of things that go beyond the normal nightmare, I dream about my life and wake up screaming. Anything is better than reliving the horrors you've so long ignored." Her hand became cold as ice in Nick's grip.

A snakelike trail of shadows followed and swam on her skin, feeling like nothing but cool air.
A smell like burnt flesh filled the room, and a bead of sweat appeared on Nick's forehead. His hand reached the back of her neck and the shadows left his fingers and seeped into her skin. The process took mere seconds, and Nick was breathing hard as he dropped his hand.

The waves of many chills swept across her skin and raised goosebumps across her limbs, but she didn't flinch. She squeezed her eyes shut as she felt the dark magic invaded her body and then let out a small shudder, letting her eyes flutter open. Taking a deep breath, Noir swallowed and looked over at Nick. "Nick," She breathed. "Are... Are you alright?"
Nick opened his eyes. They were solid black. "Yeah, I'm fine." In a voice deeper than his own. He cleared his through and said; "Yeah. Are you?" His voice higher and more him this time.

Noir was startled a little as his eyes and voice altered, but recovered as it returned to normal; shrugging the changes off as side-effects of the magic. She reached out and grabbed Nick's arms, pulling him in for a hug. "Yes, thank you!" She cried quietly, giving him a kiss on the cheek.

Nick's eyes widened slightly at her sudden hugging, but he smiled and hugged her back. "You're welcome." He said quietly, kissing her hair. (it's the only thing he could get to without twisting his head too much. ;P)

Noir let go of him and straightened, smoothing her hair back into place. She gave him a smile and her dark eyes glittered with the unfamiliar happiness.

Thomas laughed, his cheeks slightly reddening at the image. He caught the frosting before it hit his face and it splattered all over the place. "Aw, dang. I'm gonna have to make it rain in here to clean it up." He said as the frosting landed on several blades of grass.
