Thomas turns around, looking at the two of them. His eyes narrow suspiciously. "No...what's going on?" He asks.

Thomas crosses his arms, glaring at them. "Okay, what happened while I was asleep."
"BABY!" Nick suddenly blurts out, then slaps a hand over his mouth in shock.

Noir jumped as Nick yelled about the infant and grabbed his arm in alarm. She looked over at Thomas slowly. "Okay, fine. There was a little thing about a baby." She said in defeat.

Nick blushes furiously, mentally kicking himself.

Noir took Nicks hand and squeezed it softly and reassuringly behind her back.
"Ah, nothing really, Tom. It was a dream, actually. Right, Nick?" She said.

Thomas looks at their joined hands and frowns...then a smirk grows on his face. "I see..." He says, in a tone that suggests otherwise.

Noir quickly let go of his hand and flushed, turning to look at the wall. She sighed - clearly they were busted any way you looked at it.

Nick saw the opportunity instantly. He grabbed Noir's hand and turned her around quickly and planted a passionate kiss full on the lips.
Thomas drops the glass he was holding and it shatters on the floor. His face pales and he walks out of the room. "I can see you're busy..." He mumbles, smiling to himself.

Noir was startled as Nick swung her around for a gigantic smooch, but decided to hang it out. After Thomas had left, Noir separated herself from him and gave Nick a very curious look. "Ahhhh...." She said, stepping back to gain her wits. "What... Was that?"

Nick grinned sheepishly. "The opportunity presented itself...and I took it." He gestured to the retreating Thomas. "At least now we don't have to explain the whole baby thing to him. He'd probably have a heart attack. You know how much he wants to protect Lily."

Nick looked up at Noir, startled. His mouth twitched and for a moment, he did nothing. After a few seconds, he burst out laughing.
This was good. He finally had a friend that wasn't scared of him and the nightmares that surround him. He was...happy.

Noir watched him laugh as she, although she would never admit it, giggled quietly along behind her hand. She felt greatly relieved. The poor guy had problems.
