Very. Definitely. yes!!!

Mary, I've read that book, and yep, I would take that for this song.

Woot woot! He's pretty ripped!

Lina | 5563 comments As some of you have already noticed, this Wednesday will be the last song called for this challenge. The first team to have all 8 dancers groovified will win our first ever Dance Party comp! Good luck everyone....

message 455: by Catherine (new)

Catherine | 728 comments weren't there 9 weeks? or am I losing my mind!?!?!? lol

message 456: by Catherine (new)

Catherine | 728 comments hey..how come the last week determines the winner?

message 457: by Mary X (new)

Mary X (marymaryalwayscontrary) | 752 comments Because it's a race.

message 458: by Catherine (last edited Oct 22, 2012 06:04PM) (new)

Catherine | 728 comments but then why is each week separate? it should all be added together....there should not be 1st, 2nd, etc each week separately. if it's true race...all the weeks should be inclusive.... but then it's not my game..

message 459: by Lisa Kay, Moderator (new)

Lisa Kay (lisakayalicemaria) | 20787 comments Sounds like a good idea for another game, Catherine!

message 460: by Catherine (new)

Catherine | 728 comments :)

message 461: by Lisa Kay, Moderator (new)

Lisa Kay (lisakayalicemaria) | 20787 comments Yeah. Each team would get different points for coming in 1st, 2nd, or 3rd each week... whoever gets the most points at the end would win. Hmmmm...

message 462: by willaful (new)

willaful I had the same thought as Catherine -- assuming all teams finish the previous weeks, the way it's currently set up makes the final week pretty much determine the outcome.

message 463: by Catherine (new)

Catherine | 728 comments yeah...now we're talking! lol

message 464: by Lisa Kay, Moderator (last edited Oct 22, 2012 06:28PM) (new)

Lisa Kay (lisakayalicemaria) | 20787 comments Could be interesting. I mean one team could get 3 points for coming in 1st, another 2 points for coming in 2nd, and the third place gets 1 point. Then you could have some close calls between teams. I wonder what to do if there was a tie in any of the places?...have a "sudden death" play-off?

message 465: by Lina (new)

Lina | 5563 comments Good timing! I've just set up a Feedback topic, if you want to leave some thoughts there, I'd appreciate it!

message 466: by Catherine (new)

Catherine | 728 comments I like Lisa Kay's idea!

message 467: by Mary X (new)

Mary X (marymaryalwayscontrary) | 752 comments A point system would be good. Seems kind of a let down to have it come down to just whoever gets the last song first. I mean it kind of comes down to that in Bingo but the teams in the running for the win are a surprise because it all depends on what shelf the randomizer calls. Whereas here we all are pretty much at the same spot.

message 468: by Lina (new)

Lina | 5563 comments That's true, Mary. I'll be making some tweaks and changes before setting up the next round so that it works out much fairer.

message 469: by Mary X (new)

Mary X (marymaryalwayscontrary) | 752 comments So I really wanted to go to see the 1931 film classics Frankenstein and Bride of Frankenstein on the big screen tomorrow. But it's the last song! What to do! I hope it's slow at work tomorrow and that I have a short Kindle book that fits the last song.

message 470: by ShoSho , Moderator (new)

ShoSho (shoshost) | 12263 comments Haha , I got tomorrow off not because of the last song but because I finished one huge project today and I told my boss that after working MAO for the last months I deserve a day off , and he said absolutely !So I'm going to stay in bed and read.

Please please please Mrs DJ can we have the song earlier ?

message 471: by Lina (new)

Lina | 5563 comments Really sorry, guys. No chance of an early call tonight.

Humpp I was hoping :D

message 473: by Vi (new)

Vi Another 10 mins to go, right?

message 475: by Lina (new)

Lina | 5563 comments As this is the last song of the first round of our Dance Party, I want to say a big THANKS to everyone for taking part. I know there have been some misgivings about how fair this is when it all comes down to the last week, but I appreciate everyone bearing with us while we've muddled along with our first team game. I really, really hope you've all enjoyed yourselves in the playing...

And last but not least, I'd like to thank my groovy co-mods for helping out behind the scenes and just being generally awesome and funky and letting me use them as sounding boards for this idea.

May the last week of reading begin!!

Lina | 5563 comments Susan has just raised a good point about the link of full sun on the cover for this week. I've amended the playlist to also include a Full Moon, but what I'm looking for is a complete outline of the circle... there may be writing in the middle of it, but as long as we can see the full outline clearly, I'll take it.

Sorry to be a Pain.

I'm going to read Don't Tell The Moon by Lily Teegardin

Song link: full moon on cover

message 478: by Mary X (last edited Oct 24, 2012 06:17AM) (new)

Mary X (marymaryalwayscontrary) | 752 comments Can I use this: Daryk Hunter (Daryk World, #1) by Denise A. Agnew there's a moon in the background that looks full size to me.

or Crux (Southern Arcana, #1) by Moira Rogers
it's small but there is a complete moon there.

message 479: by Lina (new)

Lina | 5563 comments Mary, I'm sorry, no. I want to be able to see the whole outline. Even though in that cover we can infer that the moon is full, I can't see the whole thing.
Sorry :-(

message 480: by Melissa (new)

Melissa | 337 comments What do we do with books that have no page count listed on here? I was thinking of reading Motor City Fae (Urban Arcana, #1) by Cindy Spencer Pape but it shows as 0 pages on here. I just opened up the copy I have on my computer with adobe digital editions and it shows 217 pages.

message 481: by Mary X (new)

Mary X (marymaryalwayscontrary) | 752 comments You can see the whole moon on Crux though.

Mary X (marymaryalwayscontrary) | 752 comments Orchids in Moonlight (Harper Monogram) by Patricia Hagan

this one?

The goodreads cover shows a partial moon. The Amazon cover picture has a full moon.

Urgh.

message 483: by Mary X (new)

Mary X (marymaryalwayscontrary) | 752 comments Nevermind. I found a Virginia Henley freebie that I downloaded that was originally published in 1985.

message 484: by Lina (last edited Oct 24, 2012 02:55PM) (new)

Lina | 5563 comments Mary, I hasn't seen the second book in your previous post, sorry! That would have worked.

message 485: by Lina (new)

Lina | 5563 comments Melissa, if I can find it in Amazon, I'll take the approximate page number from there.
