I have started my own freelance editing business. I have a tendency to edit books as I read them and I figured I may as well put that to good use.
I find it very sad that there are so many negative comments and reviews on really great books simply due to editing.

Hi Daniel.
Just to let you know if you want to get your novel edited you will have to pay, but if you have a tight budget other writers that i have heard about have used Beta readers, which are free and you just need to add their name to the aknowlegments and a free copy of your book.

Well, in my opinion I wouldn't pay for an editor. Why don't you join a writing group here in goodreads and everybody can help you out. There's a good one called struggling writers. You can get quite good feedback from the moderators.

Very well said, Meghan. I completely agree with you. Editing is an investment in your craft.

We have a small xmas anthology in process but we are needing someone to edit all the short stories. The profit is going to a charity called Barnardos so we are trying to spend as little money as possible.
