The Summer Garden
question
Some questions I have?

Why does little Anthony say so many times..please don't send me to Aunt Vicki?
How does he not hear the yelling every night?
I loved loved these books..it took me a month to read all 3!
Why does Tatiana stay late in the hospital? Knowing where Alexander goes?
Who gave the name of Shura to Alexander?
Why didn't Dr Sayers tell the truth in the car?
What book should I read now?. After reading an epic story like this!

you can try reading pillars of the earth by ken follet. it's not as good as bronze horseman... and they are not that similar... but i think that if you loved one, you will absolutely love the other as well. pillars is one of my fav books of all time.
1. Anthony doesn't like to go to vicki's because it reminds him of when tatiana left to go find Alexander.
2.Not sure when they are yelling every night so not sure.
3. Not sure why Tatiana stays late knowing what Alexander does except that she feels like its her dutey to help others. Think she kind of had her head up her ass on that one.
4.Alexander got the name from the girl who died of Typhus (not shure of spelling) it was in the second book she was like 15 and he was trying to resist having sex with and when he was going to give into it she had suddenly felt very ill. Also the place where he got his new identity Belovo.
5.Dr. Sayers should have told the truth but he gave Alexander his word and probably thought he would have more time once they had moved to accross the boarder. If he had told her sooner she probalby would have gone back.
6. Good Question. Have you read outlander? Its a hard one to follow up with everyone seems to struggle. There is a disscussion board for your very question. I read all these books in like 2 weeks they are excellent.

There is a fourth book, good luck finding it... "Tatiana's Table": Tatiana and Alexander's Recipes for Food and Love. It is a collection of recipes of food mentioned in the book with intermittent storyline of their life together. It is about 220 pages long. I found it maybe 4 years ago, my friend tried to find it a couple years ago and had a really hard time, although she did find it.
Shura is a Russian nickname for Alexander. Russians call them diminuatives...the cuter the nickname implies a closer relationship with the person.
I have been on an emotional roller coaster reading this series. I really liked TBH and I liked T&A but I am having a hard time with TSG. I was hoping that there would be some respite from the despair after Tatiana and Alexander found each other again but the TSG starts off with them being unhappy. Ugh! Can't we have a little more of an emotional upswing and some happy, tender moments to balance out the despair? I am about 120 pages in and I feel like I want to give up because it is too depressing. Does it get better or are they miserable the whole way through?
If you want to read a series of books that will take over your life, start with Outlander by Diana Gabaldon!
Couldn't get into outlander! Language was hard. And couldn't understand that time period! Just not into it! But still always thinking of T&A! Great memories! Can't believe I read 3 800 page books! 3 years ago!
