well i don't think it's bad, it's just really really old fashioned. Which isn't a bad thing.

I haven't read the original ones so I wouldn't know…

Sad you have not read the old ones , they are very good and that the only version I can read . ( And I am proud to say that !)

let's see... about 6 it's not a lot but i still love the series! i own the first 6 in the series. i just got the 'clue in the diary' at the library.
ive read about 20 or more i was stuck on them from the first page though
