I just finished reading book 2, where obviously they're not married yet, but Eve makes a comment about how their relationship is like a new shoe that's not quite comfortable, but are lovely enough to keep wearing until they stretch out (or something to that affect). I thought that was a really great way of putting it. And in the first few books (the "newlywed" books), you can see Eve working to stretch the shoes out until they fit comfortably. She doesn't get there very quickly (lots of stuff about "marriage rules"), but it's so interesting to read about!
And on the other hand, it's nice to see her confident about her relationship with Roarke. :)
