Bill (s0litaire) | 109 comments place has been a bit quiet lately.

Will Once (willonce) | 3772 comments My first time here. You?

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments Bill and Will - a very confused double act!

Patti (baconater) (goldengreene) | 56525 comments Hey, yeah!

Aren't we meant to be having a new writing contest?

Jud? David?

message 56: by David (new)

David Staniforth (davidstaniforth) | 7935 comments Done my bit by sending Jud the next topic. I think she may have her mind on other things.

Jud (judibud) | 16799 comments Yes, it's my fault I keep forgetting to start the next one!

I'll do it now :o)

Patti (baconater) (goldengreene) | 56525 comments Yay!

Theo Rogers | 43 comments Hmm... Having just arrived I'm guessing that writing contests have fallen by the wayside...

:-(

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments We've just finished voting on one. The next one will probably be happening in a couple of weeks. A new thread will be started for that one.

That will be No. 28.

Patti (baconater) (goldengreene) | 56525 comments Latest entries and poll can be found here.

Looking forward to seeing your entries in future contests, Theo!

Theo Rogers | 43 comments Where do I see the rules of the contest?

Patti (baconater) (goldengreene) | 56525 comments Post number 2 in this thread, Theo.

message 64: by Will (new)

Will Once (willonce) | 3772 comments Somewhere along the line I think we've also changed the word count from 150 to 200.

Patti (baconater) (goldengreene) | 56525 comments The word count changes, yes. The parameters are given with each contest.

Theo Rogers | 43 comments I'm still a little confused. Particularly about where the "task" for each contest is given - and where it would say who collects entries.

For example, in the entries for the previous contest there was a clear lunar theme, but I'm not at all sure how the entrants knew that.

Rosemary (grooving with the Picts) (nosemanny) | 8590 comments There is a section in the discussions (https://www.goodreads.com/topic/group...) that holds all the threads.
The organiser (currently our lovely Claire) starts a new thread with the theme at the start of each comp. Then a new thread with all the entries after the closing date :)

Patti (baconater) (goldengreene) | 56525 comments Look through the thread titles within the writing contest section. You'll see two threads for each contest, one where the task is set and and another when it's time to post the entries.

Theo Rogers | 43 comments Ahh, I understand now. Thank you Patti and Rosemary.

message 70: by Damien (new)

Damien (LukeWinters) | 25 comments Hi - sorry if I'm being a bit thick (new member!), but how do you enter the competition? Is it a case of PMing Jud with the entry - I'm getting confused because it seems to be Claire who's uploading them all!

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments The next competition hasn't started yet. When it does there will be a new thread in this section with instructions on the theme and who to PM. So keep an eye out for it.

Damien (LukeWinters) | 25 comments Ah ok, thanks Gingerlily - I wasn't sure how it worked!
