Clio snuck into the kitchen and swiped an apple from a bowl nearby. She didn't know any better, this was how she had always ate at home.
Pheonia followed her nose to the kitchen. It was a busy place and there were so many good smells coming from every direction. She watched with interest as a cook made a pie. "Can I have a snack?" she asked the cook when the pie went into the oven.
Without waiting for a reply she took what looked to be a strawberry turnover and left tossing the turnover back and forth between her hands to keep from burning herself.

((Since it is just the two of us I am going to bring my other charter in too.))"I know right." Pheonia closed her eyes and let the smells wash over her. "There is a carmel onion pastry over there." She said opening her eyes to find where the smell was coming from.
Thom came into the kitchen but becasue he was looking behind him he didn't see the girls just in from of him. He walked right into Pheonia but he wasn't going fast so no harm was done. "Oh I'm sorry." He said looking forwards once more.
Pheonia smiled at the boy. "No problem, no harm done."

Arella leaned over to Pheonia. "Who's that?" she asks her. Pheonia and Giddon where pretty much the only people she knew here. "Do you know him?"
Pheonia turned to Arella, "No idea." She turned to Thom "Who are you?" She asked."I'm Thom." Said Thom, making sure his hands were in his pockets so he would not have to shake hands. "I'm new here."
"Me too." Pheonia said as though it were a big shock,
"Sure." Please don't touch anything hot. He silently begged. He was always carful where his hands were but not everyone was so carful.Pheonia smiled at him, "And I'm Pheonia but you can call me Phina." She also noticed his hands were not put forth to shake and she thought about asking him why, but decided not too. "What should we do? Just find some unnoticed food or ask?"

Thom had to laugh at that. "That is a good point." He looked around but couldn't see anyone who was obviously in charge.Pheonia laughed too, "Yeah, they might spit in your food, or worse yet, bane you from the kitched!" She gasp in fake horror and covered her mouth.

"I don't cook." Thom and Pheonia said as one. They looked at each other and burst into laughing.It felt good to laugh, Thom thought. He loved to laugh, it was just hard to get relaxed enough to do so.
Pheonia shook her head, "You owe me a cookie." And stuck her tongue out at Thom. "So you fight and cook? You are just full of surprizes."

"Amazing, although I am sure I could have gone over and smiled a bit and gotten the same result." Pheonia said with a cheeky grin."Thanks." Was all Thom said.
Pheonia took one of the snack and droped it back on the plate with a short gasp. "ouch!"
"Ahh" Thom said feeling the burn spread across his hand where Pheonia had gotten hurt.
Pheonia looked sideways at him, "It's not funny...that hurt." She said with a smile.

Thom lifted his eyes to heven Thank the gods. he thought sarcastically. Shaking his head he grabbed a scone and tossed it form hand to hand before bitting into it. He eyes went wide and he scarfed the rest of it in a blink. "Oh my aunt nickers" HE said taking another one. "Are these real?" He asked ripping into it."Easy tiger" Pheonia said taking her snack gengerly. "When was the last time you ate?" She asked watching him take yet another pastry.
Thom mumbled something but it was hard to hear him around the food in his mouth.

Thom noddened and slowed his chewing to a fast step."Hey at least you are chewing now." Pheonia said laughing at him.
Thom didn't mind being laughed at, he realized he must look silly to people who had actually had this kind of food before. "I ate a few days ago so I'd be fine for a bit longer, but this food....it's incrediable!"

"Yeah, why not breakfast. If you will be up at dawn you should be done in time for breakfast right?" Pheonia asked. "I'd like too, but I am meeting Po in the morning and I am not sure what time I will be done." Thom said thinking. He really had no idea what Po was going to try and teach him or how long it would take. "But I'll catch up with you later, nice meeting you girls." He smiled. He took another pastry and a drink and left.

((Sorry))"Stay, just for a bit longer, maybe till it gets a little darker." she smiled crookedly "There are still a few places I have yet to explore" With a wave of her hand and a bounce of her hair she spun and headed out to the courtyard.

Red walked into the kitchen and was instantly overwhelmed by the noise. She leaned against the wall and took a deep breath. 'I'll be fine' she thought. 'Just get something to eat. Then get out.'
Phina had gone to bed late but had been up before any of the others girls. She had gone here and there, watching how the castle worked and who was in charge of what. Gettin a real feel for the place. It was jsut about breakfast time now so she headed to the kitchen to see if Arella had survived her lesson.

Red walked into the kitchen, carefully avoiding anyone's eyes. She grabbed a few slices of bread, and sat at a table far from the other Gracelings in the room.
Pheonia waved her hand in a carless fasion. "Oh later than I should have but not as late as I could have." She answered evasivly. "I see you made it through your first lesson, do anything terribly exciting?" She asked with a pepy and bubbly attitude.

Pheonia really didn't know much about bows or how they were made so she wasn't sure just how big an accoplishment they were talking, Arella seemed please and that was all that matteres. "Good good, think you'll learn load here then?" She noticed the girl on the other side of the kitchen eating all by herself. Pheonia waved furriously in her directing motioning they she would come sit down.((Maya Pheonia is waving to your charter jsut so ya know :D))

Red looked away like she hadn't noticed. She didn't want to be rude, but she wouldn't know what to say. It was hard enough already being in a room with so many people.
((Sorry was working all day today, unusual for me :D))Pheonia was sorry the girl had looked away and was sorly tempted to go over there, but she didn't want to get up in the middle of the conversation either, so she contented herself for now with catching the girls eye when ever possible.
"It's warm." She answered happily, "And there are so many thing to watch. Just like in the city. The beds are comfy, not that it matters at least this place has beds. I like it all in all, although prehaps I won't when I finally stop dodging the teachers and sit down to do some work with my grace."

"My next lesson with Giddon I can ask, if you want me to." she suggested to Phina. "And, hey you can go over and talk to that girl. I can tell you want to."
She knew they were going to come over. Now was a time that she wished she wasn't so scared to use her grace. 'If only I could just imagine myself out of this place.' Red thought to herself. As much as she wanted to, Red wouldn't use her grace for something as silly as this. She sucked it up and looked over towards them.
((So sorry girls, day trip to the beach. But I will be on all day today to try and make up for it))Pheonia smiled at Arella, "Is it so obvious? Just in my nature to be curious I guess. I'll be right back." She got up, armed with a goblet of weak wine, and walked over to the girl. Pheonia fopped down in the seat next her. "Hi" SHe held out her hand "I'm Pheonia" She smiled sweetly and plenty of friendlyness thrown in.

Arella smiled looking over at Phina. How she was nice to everyone and could make friends so easily. It had really surprised he when Phina had come and said hi after her lesson. Even when she was with foster familys, their kid always excluded or were scared of Arella. It amazed her that she had made two friends in her short time here. She ordered a blueberry muffin and some water. When she was finished, she decided that she should get to know the girl and went over. Arella walked over with a small smile on her face. She noticed how fidgety and nervous she seemed but decided not to say it aloud. "Hello, I'm Arella." she said somewhat stifly.
Pheonia was glad to see Arella had come after all. She looked up at her and smiled even more. "Arella is pretty incredible, We are all honored by her presnce." She said it in a playful tone and did not mean it in a mean way.

Red slowly stretched out a shaky hand. "Uh...Hi." She gave a weak smile.
Pheonia made a slow circleing motion with her hand, "And your name is?" Her bright eyes shinning with fun, that could be mistaken for mischief
"Oh ummm..." Red was so nervous she couldn't think straight "Red. My name's Red."
"Pleasure to met you Red." Pheonia nodded sharply, happt to have gotten one answer out. "What are you have?" She asked motioning the food, which smelled incredible.
Red didn't know how she was managing this conversation without fainting. "It's just bread..." She looked down at her meal. "Do you, uh, want some?"

"Oh..." She said a bit startled. Red felt really dizzy. Like the room was getting farther and farther away. She started breathing faster. She gave a mental sigh 'Why am I always so nervous around people?' She had accidentaly made herself disapear. Realizing she had no way of controlling her grace, she siletnly walked back to the dorm room.

"I hope so, and not you you big bully." Pheonia said lightly punching Arelle in the arm. "I wonder if she is just nervous by nature or if it was us?" She asked a loud. "I guess I better finish my breakfast." She went back over to the original table and wolfed down her food.
