I haven't heard of that, I'll have to check it out! Thanks :)

Katie Mettner (katiemettner) | 9 comments Well I've read 3 ;)

Hayley Linfield | 7 comments The Art of Racing in the Rain is told from the perspective of car racer's dog. It's actually quite philosophical - car racing being a metaphor for life itself.

Is it 'heavy'?? It sounds really good.

message 8: by Hayley (new)

Hayley Linfield | 7 comments No, not really heavy. By philosophical I mean there are some pretty good Book Club type discussions. It's touching. Some people I know have absolutely loved it. I liked it but I actually found the parts about actually car racing rather dull, but that's just not my interest. The racer's life and relationships (including the one with his dog) were really good.

I have a really hard time with animal books (or movies). I'm the weirdo that can't even watch Disney animal movies. I think having seen Old Yeller as a child scarred me for life! lol
