Ema (emastimpy) | 99 comments I've added the Romanian edition, that comes in 2 volumes, but on the publisher's page they have the same isbn13:

http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/15...

(publisher) http://www.nemira.ro/babel/cartea-cop...

The problem is that there are 2 covers, so how can I show them both on the book's page? Initially I added the second volume cover as an additional image, but reading more on the posts here, I understood that it's not quite correct and it can be deleted, so I went back and checked - the second cover it's no longer there, indeed.
Which is the correct procedure in this case? Alternate cover ? Please explain...

Krystal109 | 1086 comments If I am reading this right, you are saying the book is split into 2 volumes that share the same ISBN?

In that case I would treat it like an alternate cover edition.

Make a new entry with the new cover, add "Volume 2 of ISBN: xxxx that shares the same ISBN" in a librarian note and the Edition section of the book.

If you want, you can also link to the second volume in the ISBN'd versions description so that users can redirect easily to the other edition without having to search for it.

Krystal109 | 1086 comments I would also make a librarian note and edition change to the volume 1, so that people know it is 1 of 2 volumes with the same ISBNs.

Ema (emastimpy) | 99 comments Thank you Krystal, I've made the changes as you advised, please check if I've entered them correctly:

volume 1
http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/15...

volume 2
http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/15...

I've moved the total number of pages in the description, as I'm not familiar with the exact no. of pages of each volume.

lafon حمزة نوفل (lafon) | 3544 comments Looks good, but it shouldn't be combined with the works that are in one book.

message 6: by Ema (new)

Ema (emastimpy) | 99 comments You may be right, even if the 2 volumes have the same isbn... You are suggesting to separate them and combine only the two of them?

message 7: by Ema (new)

Ema (emastimpy) | 99 comments I can see you've already seaparated them :)

message 8: by Krystal109 (new)

Krystal109 | 1086 comments They shouldn't be combined with anything. They are not the same book and should not be combined together for that reason, and they are 2 volumes and should not be combined with the complete book.

Ema (emastimpy) | 99 comments Since we are on the issue of covers, I have one question: can I take photos of my older editions of books and upload them as covers? I don't have a scanner, but I work as a photographer, so I'll make sure the picture closely resembles the cover.

Ema (emastimpy) | 99 comments Thank you, Krystal and lafon, for helping and clearing this issue with the book. I'm still learning, so I'm glad I've brought this up.
