I found the ending pretty depressing, wasn't happy about Prim's death either. But I didn't expect the ending to be like that, so I guess the ending is what makes this book good.

the ending was pretty depressing ...... i was going through the book and i saw prims death ... i couldnt touch the book for three whole days ... when i finally gathered myself i found prim died because of gale and the tears began streaming down my face ... and then i discovered gale and katniss loose any contact they had ..... despite the fact that peeta was one of my favourite i never supported him and katniss it was always gale and katniss for me ... and i thought suzzane collins dragged the book a bit
I thought the ending with Prim dying was pretty crappy. The reason she volunteered was to keep her alive and safe, so in the end it was pointless. I was happy she ended up with Peeta, poor Peeta. Great Trilogy though
