On the Sunday before the start of the grand prix season, I went to two parties and committed a criminal conspiracy with the woman of my dreams. Monday I started on the slippery slope that would end when I learned that my friend betrayed me. Tuesday I intimidated the most powerful and least accountable government department of a sovereign democracy. Wednesday someone tried to kill me.

Just so you don’t get the idea I do that sort of thing all the time, we’ll start at one of the high points of my life, which happened on the second Sunday before the start of the grand prix season.

Charlie, Charlie, Charlie...

Won't spoil it for you folks, I'l just say its a great read behind what created a lot of the backbone Charlie Cartwright has. Takes place before the previous two books (almost wished it had came out first, but I may not have noticed it then being the racing fan I am) and it's very well done, some very sexy bits, lots of behind the scenes look at how things work in the automotive world, both production and racing, and of course lots of dangerous things happening. Hey, it's Charlie!

You won't regret the read, I look forward to reading it again very soon.

Oh, boy, now it's even more urgent I read Requiem so I can get into Trouble. I loooooved Charlie from Le Mans, can't wait to read his backstory.

Did we ever resolve the white glove thing? Or the black one, whichever is appropriate. Who has it? Have we got a backup, cause it is clear Dakota is soon going to be riding the ticker tape trail and waving to us plebes...

Pretty sure Alonso would be flattered. Unless she used his character for inspiration in a bad light in one of her books. In which case I would watch my back!

What a ride!!!,

TROUBLESHOOTER (RUTHLESS TO WIN)(Kindle Edition)

I've never considered myself a 'thriller' reader, but this book drew me in from the beginning and kept me interested all the way to the end. It is so much more than just a thrilling story. There are complex, interesting characters, car races where you feel you are riding along with an amazing driver, a kidnapping, detective intrigue...I could go on! It's a packed full story that will keep you wondering how in the world everything could turn out ok...or does it? You'll have to read it to find out.

If you're a fan of racing, any type, you will love this book and the series! Even if not, the story will give you enough technical knowledge to understand races and keep you on the edge of your seat just the same.

Can't wait for more!!
