There were perks. They paid well, and the culture was more comfortable than Detroit. The best part was each of their prototypes were made in Germany, so with each new BMW, Cal spent three months in Bavaria. The timing worked out very well. The prototype builds were usually in the fall - during Oktoberfest. Still, there was work to be done.
