The Institute
Triss looked troubled. She wanted to stay small and reply with a shy "no", but for some odd reason, the sarcastic side of her that hadn't shown itself in more than a decade came bubbling up. "Well, seeing that I just moved into the institute," she said. "No, I don't know what's going on."
Jaze looked over at Triss and raised her eyebrows, but she had a slight grin on her face.
Triss almost clasped her hand over her mouth, but refrained from it. She like this new her that was escaping from her lips. "Does someone want to tell me?" She prompted.
Aly soghed "well, a war is starting between the vampires and werewolves, and we were just betrayed by Nik who's now working woth a warlock and demons."
"That would be some bad news in my book," Triss said, dropping her book on a table beside the door. "So have you guys got a plan?"
"Well, with the war we're siding with the wolves.....with Nik, we don't even k ow where he is....."
Jaze leaned against the wall, crossing her arms and frowning. "What do you think his goal is? Nik's, I mean," she said.
Triss narrowed her eyes. "So you're siding with the person who betrayed you?" She said.
No. That's not what I ment." Aly shook her head. "With the vampire/wolf problem were siding with the wolves, with the Nik problem we don't even know where he is or what he;s planning."
Jaze tilted her head slightly, studying Triss. She stayed silent, thinking. Vampires, Werewolves, Nik. I wonder which of those is worst. I'm gonna say a tie between Nik and the vampires.
Triss sighed. She knew she had only just moved into the institute, she had no business with the problems of the other shadowhunters here. But if you live with them and they were kind enough to take you in, a voice at the back of her head whispered, doesn't that make their problems yours as well? Triss shook her head, she didn't know what to do anymore. Usually she would play her guitar to get free of a stressful situation but right now hardly seemed like the right time.
Jaze looked over at Triss and debated speaking or not. She wasn't quite sure what to think of her yet..But still. "By the way..Welcome to the Institute," she finally told the girl, even though Triss was older than her.
Triss looked up, broken from her thoughts. She suddenly felt closed off, as if her sudden spurt of boldness had left her. "Oh," She started. "Thanks."
Jaze smiled and nodded. "Sure thing."
Triss forced a smiled and nodded back. They seemed nice enough. "So," she began. "These shadowhunters you're looking for, have you tried tracking them with a possession of theirs?"
Jaze frowned again, looking at Aly, then at Triss. She shrugged. "I have no clue, but it's a good idea."

"So how exactly do we track someone using their stuff?" Nia asked, feeling slightly stupid.
"No idea..." Aly said to her paribati, "But I guess they know how."
((No prob :) ))Jamie looked at Skylar. "Are you ready?" She asked, as she concealed her seraph blade.
"Lets do this." Jamie said, walking out the doors of the institute.
((To the underworld! *dramatic music*))
Dawn walked into the Institute, looking around with her eyes wide and a smile on her lips.
Emelia sat in the library, book in hand. She sighed wanting to be out doing something.
Dawn started to sing softly, walking about. She couldn't see anyone, so she thought she was alone.
Emelia's eyes narrowed as she heard the faint sound of a song. She stood up and set the book aside, she followed the sound cautiously.
Dawn peered into a music room, still singing.
Emelia spotted a girl looking into the music room and sighed, she had hoped for some action but nope.
Dawn walked back into the corridor and saw Emelia. She bit her lip and stopped singing. "Uh, hi?"
"Hey" Emelia said casually, putting her hands into her dark leather jacket.
Dawn smiled. "I thought this place was empty."
"Clearly" Emelia said, not rudely though "You actually can sing though" she continued shrugging.
"Thank you." Dawn said, smiling. "I'm Dawn."
"I'm Emma" She said in the same casual tone.
"Nice to meet you, Emma." Dawn said.
"You too, Dawn" Emelia said with a small smile.
Dawn smiled back. "So, do you have anything planned for today? Demon hunting maybe?"
Emelia grinned now, "Something like that" she said suddenly liking the girl a little more.
Dawn smiled wider. "Am I allowed to join you?"
"If you want to" Emelia said with a smirk and a shrug.
"Thanks." Dawn said. "So, where are some demons?"
((If anyone needs the Institute leader, Jones, just give me a shout out okay? Preferably on the chat page or something. Just inserting it there.))
"I was thinking the underworld?" Emelia said with a shrug.
"Sound good to me." Dawn smiled. "Demon time."

Ahe was about to reply to Nia when Triss walked in. "have you heard what's bee going on?" she asked her, her mind racing from everything from the past few hours.
