Dawn started to walk to her room, yawning. She felt happy from her encounter with Josh.

Jaze continued walking down the hall, nearly walking into a plant. I shouldn't stay up this late, she thought. As she walked, she accidentally ran into Dawn. "Oh my gosh, I'm sorry!" she exclaimed.
Dawn looked at Jaze and smiled slightly. "Don't worry," she said in a soft voice.
Jaze frowned slightly, looking unsure. "Y-You sure you're not hurt?" she asked.
Dawn nodded. "I am fine," she said softly. "Don't worry."
Jaze continued frowning, but nodded. She rubbed her arm, looking nervous and uncertain about what to do next.
Dawn looked around, checking no other Shadowhunters were around to tease her.
Jaze's frown grew ever so slightly when she saw the girl look around. "Is something wrong?" She asked quietly.
Dawn shook her head then paused and sighed. "I'm not too popular," she whispered.
((Gotta go.))"What's the problem with that?" Jaze asked, a bit curious.

"Teasing, stuff like that," Dawn whispered. "Vampires like me more than this lot."

Jaze's frown returned at that, remembering that just a few hours ago, she'd been with the alpha when a vampire had attacked. "Well," she said slowly and after a moment, "I guess 'Don't judge a book by its cover' could apply there. Along with 'Don't judge a book by its title'. Because I was not expecting that."
Dawn smiled softly. "Sorry, one vampire is nicer to me than this lot. The rest want to get rid of Shadowhunters, including me."
"Aaaaah. Now that sounds more likely," Jaze said, smiling faintly. She'd decided that Dawn was an okay girl, one that she could trust. Since she'd done that, she'd opened up more and gotten less shy.
Dawn nodded with a soft smile. "You're one of the first Shadowhunters to be nice to me," she said.

"Me being the first," Aisling commented, walking out of a room. "Hello, I'm Ash," she said to Jaze.

Jaze jumped, startled at Aisling's arrival. She turned and looked over at the other Shadowhunter, waving weakly and back to being shy. "O-Oh, hi. I'm Jaze."
Aisling smiled. "Nice name that, Jaze," she said. "I'm going for coffee, anyone want anything?"
"T-Thanks," Jaze stuttered, surprise by the compliment. Then she shook her head and put her hands in her jacket's pockets. "No thanks, but thank you for offering."
"'Kay," Aisling said and left.

Jaze looked at Dawn when she sighed. "You sure you're okay? About, well...anything?" she asked, thoughtfully.
"Yeah," Dawn said in her soft voice.
Jaze frowned slightly, but nodded and didn't pester. She looked down at her bloody jeans and sighed. "I shouldn't probably go change, unless I want to use a glamour while walking around New York."
"Changing would be easier," Dawn replied. She paused and sighed. "What would the Clave do if... if someone liked a vampire?"
Jaze now frowned in thought, not because of concern. Then she shrugged, the frown disappearing. "I honestly don't know. My guess would be some kind of punishment, especially with the vampires wanting to wipe out the werewolves right now."
Dawn nodded and thought, frowning. "Okay," she said, even softer than normal.
Jaze tilted her head at her, then held out a hand. "Want to hang out in my room?" she asked, trying to distract Dawn from whatever was making her..nervous or upset or scared or something.
Dawn looked up and smiled. "Sure," she said and took the hand.
Jaze smiled in return and started walking down the hall, towards her bedroom. "So, how long have you been at the Institute?"
"A while now," Dawn replied, smiling faintly. "I'm not usually in the institute, though. And if I am, I'm in my room, with a book or training with Ash. Most of the time I do patrols."
"Neat," Jaze said, smiling. "I got here, I don't know, around two months ago?"
"Cool," Dawn said. "Well, welcome."
"Thanks," Jaze said, brightly. She stopped in front of her room and opened the door. Her bedroom was an olive color and smaller than most of the others. She had a guitar hanging on one wall, a music stand in front of the window, and a drawing desk inside. She looked over her shoulder at Dawn and gestured around her. "Welcome to my hangout."
Dawn looked around and smiled. "It's really nice."
"Thanks," Jaze said, smiling still. She went to her closet and pulled out a pair of shorts. "I'll be back in a sec," she said. She went to the bathroom, changed, then came back out.
Dawn nodded, smiling when she came back out.
((I gotta go any sec.))Jaze sat down on the floor and gestured to her bed. "Feel free to take a seat," she said.

"That's a nice age," Dawn said. "Your training going well?"
"As well as it can for someone who hasn't lived here their whole life," Jaze laughed. "What about you? How's your training?"
"Average," Dawn said with a smile.
"So it's going good then," Jaze concluded, pushing up her glasses.
"Yeah, in a way," Dawn said and smiled softly.
Jaze tapped the floor with her point finger; A habit that annoyed a lot of people. "So, busy night?"
"You could say that," Dawn said softly but with a smile.
Jaze sighed and nodded, still tapping her fingers on the floor. "Same here."
"What happened with you?" Dawn asked curiously.
Jaze stopped tapping, playing with the hem of her shirt now. "I met the alpha today," she started. "I told him that if we found out the vampires' plans or anything that might help them survive, we'd tell them. Then we attack by one."
