Adam Lupis Can anyone remember an of the jokes that Patrick Danville told Roland and Susannah? Or any of the smart-ass jokes Eddie had for Blaine?

Patrick I remember that Eddie did the Dead Babies Jokes which the Blaine could not figure out because they were not logical. Although the Blaine could have access to the pdf version of the Totally Tasteless Jokes books and would have killed the entire cast of Gunslinger and the story would have ended right there. I guess you have to read those sections again to find out exactly, buddy.

I think one of Eddie's riddles ran something like "Why do policemen wear braces? To hold their trousers up!"

I figured That I'd have to look them up. That's fine, I just thought it would make a good conversational topic. The Patty O' Furniture one is my favorite one. "What's Irish and lives on the back porch?" Patty O' Furniture. Nuck! Nuck! Nuck!

Richard ahh Blaine the Mono - the best cliff hanger i've ever read, and then the worst resolution i have ever read.

10 years of waiting between reading Wastelands for.......the nothing that was Wizard & Glass. so excited to buy it and so disappointed to read it

it was so bad i ignored the release of the final 3 novels for years

Chris Ward I actually really liked Wizard of Glass. I expected to hate it but the whole flashback part of the novel was pretty good. Didn't like the bit at the end, though, when it was back to the present day.

I thought Wizard and Glass was a good love story, as it went, but it dragged because I was so much more interested in the adventures of the ka-tet in the present day. It was a big disappointment after the cliffhanger of The Waste Lands.

Codee Meredith The only Eddie joke I remember was "Why did the dead baby cross the road? Because he was stapled to the chicken!"

And yes, I agree that Wizard in Glass did not lead up to the expectation of the cliffhanger, although I did love to see the explanation of how Roland became what he was.
