Holly has long red hair that falls to the middle of her back in a simple hairstyle. Her skin is a creamy white and freckles are spattered over her face. She has a small nose, large eyes and full lips. Her eyes are cloudy and the colour of the most expensive, deep blue sapphires. She is a simple, innocent looking type of girl. She stands at 5'1 and has a curvy figure.

Likes: Holly's favourite pastime is spending time with her family. She also loves to carve stuff out of wood and doing anything creative. Her favourite drink is milk and her favourite food is chocolate cake ;)

Personality:
Stubborn, is a perfect word to describe Holly, this can be good and bad. She will never give up on stuff.
She sees it as if she cant do it then, then she will do it later.
She wont give up on anybody and always gives them encouragment in anything they decide to do, unless it is something such as self harm, or starving themselves. She will never back down in a fight and will always stick to what she believes, whether its right or wrong. She has always been tomboyish and has a large competitive streak, being the youngest of 5 brothers all very close in age. One off them happens to be her twin, who she is veryc lose to, along with all of her brothers.
Holly is also the type of person that doesnt complain and likes to help out. If she sees somebody struggling to something she will help, and if somebody is doing the sishes, she would feel obiged to help out as well. She can be sarcastic at times and doesn't beat around the bush, she says what's on her mind and doesn't sugar coat it.
She is the kind of person that will help somebody whether she has known them 5 minutes or 5 years, and will go to great lengths, even breaking the law, to do so.
She is quite a clumsy character, and most of her scars are from silly accidents like head-butting the floor or stabbing herself with a knife while carving.
Parents: Both work extremly hard to support their 6 children. Her mother is a magnificent dancer and does shows in her spare time when she isn't working in her many factory jobs and her father a blacksmith, working all hours of the day and creating metal figurines in his spare time.
History:
Despite being a status 8 Holly's family have always been quite creative, but have never been able to claw their way up to any higher statuses, considering the family is quite large. Holly was always up for a dare in her early life. Dare her to climb to the top of the tallest tree, she would do it. Tell her to run around the town with nothing on, she would do it. It was a way of life for her, seeing as her 5 brothers were just as daring as she was. She would never be caught dead in a dress unless on her own terms, and of course, if she liked that particular dress. She has never really had many friends that were girls. Seeing as the age gap between her and her oldest brother is 4 years, she usually spent time with them or any of the other village boys. She learned how to sculpt wood when she was at the age of 6, when she and her brothers were making arrows for a huntsman who had specified for the arrowheads to be made out of wood. Her brothers had already done this before, but it was a first for her and it turned out she had a talent for it. From there on her skills progressed untill she could make large standing sculptures
Talents:Her creativity, she can play instruments,paint amazing pictures and sculpt fantastic objects. She can also make glass statues, and is just as good as that as she is sculpting wood and still dabbles in it when she gets any free time.

Has these scars on her back from stealing, not many see them unless she has a low back dress on, you have to ask her how she got them she wont just tell you.

She had a little brother up untill almost a year ago, but he passed away, she still grieves for him as she was more like his mother than his older sister, she wont speak of him much. His name was Austin and he had down syndrome, you have to ask her how he died, again she wont tell you otherwise.

Cooper Anthony 'Coop'-21: Being the oldest causes Coop to be extremly protective of his siblings. Seeing as his parents worked a lot when they were younger he single handedly raised them when he was old enough to cook. He loves all of his siblings with all his heart, but sometimes he can be too overbearing.

William Riley 'Liam'-20: Liam is so relaxed its amazing that he is still awake. Nothing can set him off, he just gets on with whatever task he has been set. Sometimes this can be fustrating when you are trying to get a point across and he just nods along happily, as if he isnt listening. He is an identical twin to Cal.

Caleb Jay 'Cal'-20: The only thing Cal and Liam have in common is that they are identical. That is where the similarities end. Cal has a hot fiery temper, even though he wouldnt hurt a fly it is sometimes scary to be in a room with him when he is on one of his rampages of anger. He is a hard worker but has strong oppinions and if he sets his mind to something, then there is no changing it. Identical twin to Liam.

Robert Daniel 'Rob'-17:(10 months between him and Holly): The annoying one. Rob talks his life away. Even when he is asleep he has been known to mutter away quietly. Despite being annoying everybody loves him and his happy outlook on life, trying to find the best in everybody. He and Caleb dont get along very well, considering Rob is always annoying people and Cal has a bad temper..Not a good mix.

Nicholas James 'Nick'-17: Nick is very close to Holly, being twins. They have been known to finish off each others sentences and are always found together. They confide in each other with everything. Nick is the typical boy-next-door type of guy. Always willing to help and put a smile on peoples faces.

History: She has a 9 year old sister, Penelope, whom she just adores. Penelope wants to everything with her, and she wants to be just like Willa. Her best friend is Felix. It's nothing romantic, they've been best friends since they were children, when all the girls were making fun of Willa because of her then, wild and frizzy red hair. Her hair has now been tamed.
Other: She has never had a boyfriend. Most of the guys just see her as a friend, since she hangs around with them more than girls.

History: She has grown up on a country farm, neither rich nor poor. She has always been a unique girl but always by mistake, not because she wants attention. Her statuesque height, her turquoise hair, her caring and open minded attitude towards life, her smile, her bright eyes.. she is nothing short of a shining star. But the one thing she has been brought up in has been a sheltered life, because their farm is so secluded.. she hasn't had much experience around people. All she knows is through story books and the few ventures she's taken to the local town centre. She was home schooled aswell so after being one of the selected, it's thrown her into the deep end of new social situations.

History: He grew up in a well-off household and has always lived comfortably but mentally there has always been something missing. He isn't short of food.. entertainment.. clothes.. nice things, but good company comes rare in his type of lifestyle. He wishes to make real friends in life.. his parents have handed most things to him on a plate but he has no interest in the things they give him. They love their son very much and want the best for him but they never listen to what he really wants.
He was fairly popular in high school but only people of the same status or higher have wanted to be his friend. He just wants to be set free from a life that feels like its already set out for him, he just wants to write his own life and live by his own rules.

Talents: She plays the violin like a professional, but her aunt and uncle disapprove of her playing it because she is not a Five.
Personality: Adrianna is very stubborn and is extremely open about how she feels about things. She dresses in a Gothic way to express her mourning over her country and the mess it has become (with the unfair Caste system, and all). She hates her job and doesn't get along with many people because she can be very hostile towards people of higher Castes. She can be very rebellious.
Parents: She doesn't have any parents. They died when she was an infant. They were both Eights, so she is never sure that her parent's deaths were a curse or a blessing. Her legal guardians are her aunt and uncle (Gloria and Carl), and they are both Sevens.
History: She grew up with her aunt and uncle in their two room apartment building, right next to a factory (which Adrianna now works in). She doesn't have friends, because she had a boyfriend who broke her heart and she hasn't trusted anyone much since then.
Other: She didn't want to enter the Selection. Her aunt wanted her to have the best chance at life, so she secretly filled out the forms (and lying about things like personality, talents and hobbies) and tricked Adrianna into coming to hand in the forms and having her photo taken.

Parents: Are both Threes and own an apothecary shop. They typically serve the lower castles of threes, fours, and fives. Rarely sixes. Sevens and eights cannot afford them. On occasion they may help children in the lower castes, but never adults.
History: Grew up in a privileged area with twos and threes. She doesn’t hang out with people that are in lower castes and was taught to think less of them. This doesn’t mean she isn’t a nice person, it’s just the way she was raised. She dislikes people who can’t accept their circumstances. Marigold will talk to people in lower castes, but mostly because she’s curious. She can’t decide if she dislikes lower castes or not. Most of the time she just can’t be bothered with them. Goes by Mari or Goldie.

I was trying to come up with a name starting with something we don't have a lot of, but we have both a lot of C's and L's(should have realized this since one the characters with an L for a name is mine). I also wanted it to make sense for the character. So, I don't think we have too many M's, but even if we do I'm too fond of the meaning of behind the names to change them-they're both herbs you can use as medicine, so it fits her background...Sorry, this is long and random.

Parents: His parents are Jack and Rose Dawson (view spoiler) There's some hostility between Kellan and his father, from when Ryan decided he didn't want to be a lawyer like his father, and his father's father, and his father's father's father.
Yup. But in my version, Jack and Rose are pretty awful people. History: He definitely had some history with Adrianna, but she hates him now. Like, really hates him. But, Kellan only knew that situation from his point of view, he had no idea what Adrianna had been going through at the time, since she didn't want to be seen as a weak little Seven. All he had taken in was that he'd seen his girlfriend eating out of the trash.

History: Rosaline comes from a good and loving family, but there were many tensions between her parents. They were constantly fighting and arguing, which contributed to her being an only child. Her parents pretended everything was fine for the sake of their reputations, but they could not stand each other. Shortly after Chanel turned 13 and received her job, her mother became mentally ill and was transferred into the eighth caste. Her father drowned himself in his work, often neglecting Rosaline. From this, Rosaline learned to fend for herself, taking support from friends instead of family. When the Selection began, she entered, hoping she would find love, something that her parents didn't have.
Other: She goes by Rosie at times. Since she was little, Rosie would have dreams that were slight inclinations of events to come. Sometimes they were false and other times they were correct. She still has not been able to tell anyone else about these dreams nor stop them from coming.

Personality: Quietly calculates; is very good at assessing and manipulating people. Excellent actress so while she may seem like an elegant, caring (albeit reserved) and warm person, in reality she thinks everyone is below her either in status or intelligence.
Parents: Father is in the government, and mother is a fashion designer-they are considered part of the social elite
History: Comes from a very prominent family. Early on in her life she realized that she needed to have a persona. Her parents taught her that in life there are some people that are meant to be the elite and those that are meant to be poor. It’s just the way things are, how the world is balanced, and she shouldn’t pity those that are below her. She was also taught not to let emotion get in the way of business decisions. She has a high appreciation of Asian culture, and believes them to be the superior race.
Other: Natsumi’s Uncle is very high in the government in China (I’m assuming that Japan is part of China now). Since the Schreave family (Aaron’s family) hasn’t produced a princess in several generations, Prince Aaron marrying Natsumi would be very beneficial politically.
