SOLVED. Science fiction - takes place in a brothel? [s]

I read this in the 90's. It took place in a brothel-like house. Remember almost nothing about the characters or story line but have a distinct memory of the flooring material in the main room being able to mold itself to support people and was warm to the touch.

A LOT like it. Or possibly Lady Slings the Booze (Lady Sally's, #2)? That was the second.

Could be the second one, too. In the first one, there are stories with a mind-control device, a were-poodle, and a couple of vicious thugs. In the second book, there's a time-slowing device and a terrorist.
