I would love, love, love to have this challenge come over here from CCC: Cowabunga - An 80's Cartoon Challenge...I found it when it was over halfway through...but it doesn't end until Sept 31. But, if you could finangle a way to bring it over, I'd be SOOO happy! :)
Bree, I can add that to my list of challenges to ask about but even if they said yes it would be a few months before you see it here. Thanks for the suggestion!
For the Ben & Jerry's challenge, I found a small error... Peanut Butter Cup is 15 letters, not 14 (doing an individual letter count got me a total of 617 letters, which had me confused for a minute or two, lol)
Thanks Bree! I just saw your post and letter count over there. I'm not surprised the count was off. I didn't plug them into word or anything, I just counted right off the post. Thanks letting me know! I'll correct the original post. :)
Hi! I Castles of the World this week and I would like to know if I can do more than one castle at the time. In other words, have more than one challenge within the challenge of CASTLES.Thanks!
Absolutely Chelsea (or do you prefer Annie?)! You can do more than one at a time or repeat the challenge again when you finish. That goes for all of the challenges here. :)
I have a question about books with numbers in the title. I'm planning on starting The 19th Wife . Does that count as an "n" or nothing because it's a number?
Hmmm... that's a good question. Let me see what is generally accepted in some of the other groups and I'll get back to you.
That does help Barb! I was looking around and haven't come across this issue before! lolOk, Alina. Go ahead and use it as an N book. :)
Can someone tell me where the list of books set in different countries is? I could have sworn someone asked for a Moroccan book and was directed somewhere, but now I can't find the link. Thanks!

There's also a help thread towards the bottom of our main page where you can ask for recommendations from other group members if you're looking for something specific. You can find it here.
I have a question. Not sure where to place it so... here it goes!! How do you add a star to a comment? So far what I've been doing is this:
*** Stars would look so much prettier than asterisks.
You can copy and paste a star from another post ★ or you can type the HTML code for a star: 9733; Remember the ; at the end, but take out the space after the # and the 9 :)

I have decided not to finish this particular challenge for my castle. Is that okay? I am new as far as doing and completing challenges and tend to read books that I can't add to list. I would like to start over. Is that okay? Maybe I can choose a different challenge.
That is absolutely ok Chelsea! You can leave a challenge whenever you like, you can take a break from it and come back later, you can start over...whatever you want to do is ok with me. You can also join whichever challenges you like and as many as you like. There is no limit to the number of challenges you can have going at any time. If you decide you want to leave a challenge altogether and want to be removed from the participants list just let me know and I'll remove your name/link. If you want to start over, just let me know and I'll change your link to your new post. If you want to take a break but save your progress to come back later, you don't need to do anything - just update again whenever you're ready.
I hope that answers your question. Just let me know if you need me to remove or change your link.

From now on, I will do challenges that don't have deadlines so I can complete them. Thanks for your help!
Even the challenges that have deadlines you can do at your own leisure. The point of the group is to have fun with these and not get frustrated. Just work at your own pace :)

What I did is I went through all the challenges in this group and the original group and wrote a list of challenges without due dates. :-) I do like the castle one so I will keep it. Thanks!
Here's another interesting one from My Big Fat Booky Challenges where you pick a day and read books based on that day in history.http://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/6...

Thanks so much for sharing. I have added it to my list of possible future challenges. I keep a list on my computer of the ones that I think will be fun to complete. :-)
I noticed the "child of the 70s" challenge and it looks really interesting. I wish someone would do a child of the 60s challenge for us older folks.
Barbara, that one looks like a lot of fun! I'll add that to the list of challenge to contact the original group about. Maybe we can introduce it here in SCC in the future!

hey what about the 80's?
lol My idea in the beginning was to do one for each decade so eventually I hope to have 60's, 80's and 90's also. :)
Hi
I'm asking about the same question as the couple of ladies above . I see they were written quite awhile ago .I'm wondering if you know of any of the groups that have done a 50's or 60's themed challenge ? I was born in the 50's and a kid in the 60's. I think it'd be fun to do those if you know of anyone of the groups that might have done one.
Thanks !

This is also the place to post if you come across something that needs fixing: broken links, typos, etc.
Questions about specific challenges should be asked in the thread for that challenge.
