Bridgette I need more. The ending basicly leaves you hanging. The good thing is that I read somewhere that Christopher Paolini is going to go back to Alegasia.

Kirsten Bailey No! I found it disappointing.

Shadow I liked the ending. Ideally, yes, I would have preferred a much more...substantial ending (at first I was getting scared cause I thought he was going to leave me thinking, "...but what about this, and this, and THIS??"), but I think to end EVERYthing would have required another book (albeit perhaps a small one compaired to he rest of them lol). And, anyway, it was neat how you end the series with a sense of...foreshadowing, I guess. I mean, it's almost like he ends it with a "and this was only the beginning" type feel. It also somehow made it seem all the more real because everything wasn't solved (Angela, for example). I hope that all made sense... Anyhow, yah, I thought the ending was pretty cool. It left you thinking and with lots of hope for the future.

*~.Alana.~* Walker this should reeeeeeeeeeeeeeally be in inheritance or at least put spoliers in the title!

I feel the same. If he wrote one or more books just to round off the story at an actual ending/new beginning I would gladly buy & read them. I read also that Christopher Paolini intends to return to Alegasia. I keep a keen watch out for anything from him"

I would definitely be totally interested in any more books Paolini writes, especially if he writes more about Alagaësia!!

Zabada Campbell Harry Potter had 6 yrs at Hogwarts plus 1 yr finding horcruxes. Eragon needs a few more years as does Murtaugh, Arya, and the rest. Their story is left so up in the air and hints of what could happen but how are we to ever know? Anyone? Is it possible to convence Paolini to complete the story?

Abigail yes Paolini is making another book with the setting in Alagaesia, but Eragon isn't going to be a main charter or anything.
As for how the books end... um he leaves a lot of loose and and plot holes. yes, some of the plot holes are openings and seeds for his next big ta-da or whatever but still there was way too much. I did like how Galby met his end. :D
I probably wouldn't read any more of Paolini's books because the rest of the series made me want more and his ending kinda sucked.
It was almost like he couldn't find a good/decent way for Eragon to leave! and really, what happened to Queens and such can't be Dragon Riders because they have a duty to their race as a Queen and to all races as a Dragon Rider.
ok thats all i have to say...xD

Cinderela No, and worstly I can barley remember how dissapointed I was in it.

Anyone know how to actually contact Paolini? I enjoy speaking to authors. I could Tweet him or friend him on Facebook. I would have no problem just asking him to write another book to tie things up a bit. Got any ideas? I'm game.

Yolanda it was just "ok" for me - I felt that Paolini lost interest and finally just wrote "anything" to get the book finished.

I read by his own admission he felt rushed and restricted by time and space availabiliy crunches. I left a mesg on that page that I would like it if he just finished the story and let us know it would take him a bit to get it together. Have no response to my knowledge

Hey can someone be awesome and sum up the last few books for me?I read the 1st and 2nd, but could not finish the rest.

Chrisna When I got to the end I was left feeling that I need another book! I agree it feels like a rushed ending, dragons for all my buds and here I go.....LOL.

Lydia I hated the ending! In a loving way. He ended it in a way no one was expecting and, honestly, I would be okay with another book but when I think about it, it ended the way it needed to end, just not the way I wanted it to end.

Disappointing! I expected soooooo much more!

Abinav The ending was very predictive yet it was a good ending to the series i think.

Sean I thought the ending was fine. I was glad everything wasn't all tied up in a neat little bow. I always viewed the series as being the story of how Eragon overthrew Galbatorix and beginning to restore the Riders. There was enough detail to show how the Riders will be restored without bogging it down.

I'd like the next story in Alagasia to be about a dwarf or Urgal rider, with Murtagh, Arya, Eragon, and Saphira making cameos.

J.P. Lighthawk Christopher wrote this book extremely well. It kept me involved at every turn. I felt that I was almost in the story, I could visualize everything in my head. And yes I would love to have another book or two from him. I would buy them in a split second. I enjoy fantasy books quite a lot, and this one is right up there in the top 10 for me. Please Christopher, give us a view of the future for Aragon and the dragons!

Aileen Kim HORRIBLE ENDING!!! Paolini stopped at a cliffhanger... what about Ayra and Eragon, Murtagh and Nasuada, and Roran, Ismira, and Katrina????
Totally NEEDS an epilogue!!!

Asish I am really disappointed with the ending. It has left open so many plots such as Murthag's and nesuada's relationship, angela's real story etc. i hope paolini continues it, otherwise it would be a wasted potential.

J.P. Lighthawk I do not look at it as a horrible ending in my eyes. I look at the possibilities of another book
