When I finished reading the book Oblivion by Anthony Horowitz I was in book depression mode for days.
Mostly because I hated/ loved the ending. I was very conflicted. The events were traumatic. And although it was amazing it was horrible too. It was bittersweet. I think I spent weeks just thinking about that book and the characters and Matt ... Oh Matt :'( *sobs* (view spoiler)

talltyrion | 708 comments Help! My Allegiant mourning period is just rearing its ugly head. Every time I think about it is a blow to the stomach, and I can't think, I can't breathe... I need some major help and/or chocolate.

Same here! And it's a mourning period that I don't think will ever quite be over!!

Rachel (APCB Reviews) (gr8rach) | 52 comments I got that after finishing the Unearthly series. It was such a good happy ending and then I got depressed because it was over.

The Infernal Devices had me happy and sad for a month. I didn't read a book for A MONTH after finishing the waterworks-inducing Clockwork Princess. That. Books. Was. Perfection.

I was very sad when "The Banned and the Banished" series ended after five books. They were SO good! I liked "Gone With the Wind" and the "Harry Potter" books too, and would be glad if more were written.

As to endings that totally sucked, I hated the end of "Handle With Care" by Jodi Picoult. "My Sister's Keeper" was awful too. They hardly even finish! You are left thinking, "what the heck just happened? Surely that can't be it!"

Jazzy (stairstepjitters) | 62 comments The Harry Potter series, Lord of the Rings series, The Hunger Games series, Clockwork Princess, The Book Thief, The Giver, Mark of Athena, Inkheart...honestly I just need an excuse to get sad about something.

Bree | 8 comments The worst for me would be Ashes to Ashes and it the ending of the book was good BUT THAT EPILOGUE THO.
