I just finished it and found the plot to be very slow. I almost stopped reading it. It wasn't until after the halfway spot that I actually found myself yearning to read it. I read a couple of discussion question with the author in the back of the book and she said wasn't that compelled with it while writing it. (Don't quote me it was my interpretation of her answer) I did get hooked with the "affair" and the murder confession. The last few chapters were the only page turners. I honestly feel very outraged and disgusted when spouses cheat on one another but somehow in the end of the book I found myself justifying Jo's thoughts and feelings but I also had a tremendous amount of heartbreak for Daniel. I find it so strange that if you truly immerse yourself in a character that you can feel why they have taken the actions they have even when the actions are so against everything you believe. Glad I finished it but don't recommend it and would not read it again. (though I rarely reread books anyway)
