I didn't like the main characters in Eclipse. I mean, I like Jasper (as I did when I read Twlight...) and it was nice to see what was up with Rosalie, but I especially didn't like the way Bella was acting. Seriously, if you read Twilight and then go straight to Eclipse, you'll see a major change for the worse in both Bella and Edward. I thought that Stephenie wasn't true to the story but rather true to what she knew people would read. I mean the action was cool I guess, and overall the story is as intriguing as all of them, but I perfer to read good writing that is true to the story and not the money.

Hm...I disagree...I don't think Meyer wrote that in a way only for the money. And the plot was much more complex than Twilight and New Moon, which is good.
I'm not talking about the plot. And the fact that the impression I got from the way she wrote it for why she wrote it (that makes no sense but oh well) is beside the point. My main arguement is the way the characters change. Some people will say that a book is its characters (this isn't true... it's the relationships between characters that make a book interesting and pushes it forward) and I did not like what the characters did. And I was uncomfortably with them. They held no appeal for me any more. And I promise I'll stop argueing now. :) It's a very unhealthy addiction...
i have problems with both seriesJKR uses way too many adjectives and her writing makes me cringe. i LOVE the stories to death but i dont like her writing. i'm not arguing just stating my opinion. what hooked the world on HP wasnt her style, it was her genius idea
meyer just bugs me. i dont think twilights are that great. i just dont like the characters and dont really care what happens just because of the way meyer presents them. i was infatuated with them at first but it past.
i read both but just for fun, like i read the clique series and gossip girl
Hannah it's WAY better than the others!!! It's AMAZING!! Possibly my favorite book in the whole entire world!!
GAH!!! stop stop stop! i have to wait for it to come in to the library and it's gonna take FOREVER!!!
Harry Potter is a good book to help people write.
AAAAH!!! NO DON'T SAY ANYTHING ABOUT BREAKING DAWN!!! GRARRRRR HOW COME EVERYONE ELSE HAS ALREADY READ IT??? NOT FAIR!! I HAVE TO WAIT FOR LIKE A HUNDRED AND FIFTY OTHER PPL TO READ IT BECUZ I REQUESTED IT FROM THE LIBRARY!! GRAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRR

Grr. You people shouldn't talk about spoilers like that in an open discussion where people haven't read it! Cali, you almost gave something big away! Shame on you!

You know what book I like?
Peaches by Jodi Lynn Anderson. I was extremely excited when I saw the sequel in the bookstore. :P

oh i have a friend who read that... and she made me read this random page of it... only i don't remember what was happening in it, cuz it was somewhere in the middle. lol. :P
J.K. Rowling writes how I talk. I think they're easy to read, and that's a good book right there. Yes, anything by Stephen King or James Patterson is wonderful. Some things by Dean Coot are good, and that one chick that wrote Serpent Tide.
yeah i like james patterson's writing style. it doesn't seem really sophisticated, but i think he says a lot w/just a few words... idk if anyone else here reads max ride, for example; everything in it happens so fast, like so many things happen on one page it's amazing. lol. XD
I know, I love his books. I read the third one in one day.
Even though I didn't like how he went 'green' most of the book.

The fourth one is when he went green. I hope that if he makes a fifth book it's worth reading, not that it wasn't, but it wasn't as good since it was all abou tbeing green.
I thought it was the third? oh well, is the fifth the one called the Final Warning?cause I thought there was only four.
Oh, good. the third was going green, it bugged me.
I mean that I hope his next book it worth reading - if he makes another one 'cause the fourth book disappointed me.
OOOH!! I haven't read the fourth book yet. i'm gonna do it soon!
But i've decided to give Inkspell another try.
But i've decided to give Inkspell another try.
I LOVED Inkheart and Inkspell!! I can't wait for the third and last book to come out. It's been a really long time!!
I guess it's okay, I tried to read the beginning of Inkspell before, and I didn't like it. But it's actually pretty good.
i read inkheart and then stopped. i had inkspell in my room at one time, but i think i had to take it back to the library before i read it.
I didn't really like them. I tried reading one, and got totally bored. It surprised me because I like most of Cornelia Funke's writing.
i read inkheart so long ago i dont even remeber it. i think i liked it but idk. then i got a signed copy of inkspell for my birthday and i still havent touched it (my bday like a million years ago)but i did like the thief lord:)
you got a sign copy of inspell!!!!!!!! ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh that would be the most amazing gif i could ever get in the entire world and i be sooooo happy i loooooove cornelia funke!!!!!!!!AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!
I've been reading Inkspell all morning, and boy it's so awesome!!!
