Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows
question
Am I the only one who thinks Rowling should write a book about Harry's kids

Rowling ended off the series well, but I think there was more to the story. She set up pretty decent charectors in the end, but did not take them farther.

Maybe just a spin off series? as in smaller stories about the children and minor characters at hogwarts and maybe something from the muggle's point of view?

she should have left the prologue or continued the story
Another Hp series would be amazing. I would like to see the change in hogwarts since it was semi destroyed in the last book and who would be the new headmaster.
I think that extending the series would ruin it for me. I like the way the book ended, but I don't necessarily want to be in a Hogwarts with none of the old professors and new students who worship Harry. I don't want to follow kids named after major (and mostly dead) characters. Plus it would annoy me if Harry's kids got into the same kind of adventures that he did, because it would seem unrealistic. What I wouldn't mind is a prequel with Lily and James in it, but then again I do think that Harry's glimpse into the pensieve covered that as much as I wanted it to be covered. Really, I don't want to ruin anything by over-exploiting Harry's world.
I would LOVE a sequel. Maybe about what the Death Eaters do after Voldemort is killed? What have they done in the 19 years in between the end of the book and the epilogue? If I had to pick one series to read for the rest of my life, HP would be it, even though it's ended and done. And that's including all the other series that I read now! So yes, I would love to know what kind of trouble Harry's kids get into at school.
I'm in the prequel camp. Some stuff about younger Dumbledore and Voldemort. Hagrid too, maybe...

BAD IDEA. Like no offense but I just don't see that working out. It would never compare to the original and I think a lot of us Potterheads have laid the great tale to rest happily in our hearts, and we share the story whenever possible:)
Isn't there a FanFic series about James? Pass. On both FanFic and more Harry Potter books. Seriously, as a huge fan, I'll take HP as it is. Don't try to extend the shelf life of it. It's going to be one of those classics that just stick around. But no more.
i would of liked to know like what happened in those 19 years after the big battle!!
As much as I love the Harry Potter series, I think I'll pass on the spin off.
I'd like a story about the time when Voldemort first threatened the wizard world instead.
Because what potential story could Harry's kids have?
Inventing a new antagonist sounds not good enough. Social teen problems would make the series go downhill if played as a main plot.

YAY im not the only one!!! I always thought that J.K. Rowling should have made little books about Harry, Ginnys, Draco Malfoy's, Ron, and Hermione's children and they're experiences in Hogworts following the footsteps of their parents with mystery and romance and more i would have thought that would be amazing!!!!
YES SHE TOTALLY SHOULD SHE SHOULD START WRITING THE 8TH BOOK NOW SO WE CAN SEE THE TRIO IN AN 9TH MOVIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We need a second series about James, Albus Severus, and Lilly, DEFINTELY!!! ;)
If Rowling ever wrote another book set in the HP universe, I'd hope for more of the Marauders' adventures. Would be nice to see how James and Lily's relationship blossomed, their lives post-Hogwarts, and perhaps the minimal interactions with the Dursleys.
I wish she'd write a happy story about the kids and Harry etc Maybe a rom/com. There doesn't have to be a villain - it could be about the difficulty the children have living up to such a famous father and how they overcome that to feel important even if they aren't super heroes saving the world.
The Harry Potter series so far was about overcoming intolerance and evil from external enemies. Maybe another series could be about overcoming the harm we can do to ourselves by feeling inferior etc ?
Maybe take a lesson from Severus' life and use it to make the childrens' lives happier?

i'd like to read a back story about neville, after all, he was a candidate for the prophecy, grew up without parents, etc.
It would be awesome if she did but there's no villain
I'd just been thinking about this. I'm sure you could find many fan-fictions about it, though. It'd be really cool for JK Rowling to write it, though. She Did create the characters. It just seems like there is more to the story.
To be honest, I'll take anything I can get that's written by JKR. I'd happily enjoy whatever is given to me whether the story be about old or new characters~
No. However, about Neville, Luna, and other minor characters, maybe. Author ended things well: life goes on period. Maybe another story in the world of HP. I want to know more about muggles, whether the government and wizards changed their rather racist views towards non human magical creatures and intolerence of squibs.

Yes, the characters are rather awesome. The only thing is that what on Earth would she put in any other books?? There's no more Voldemort, nothing to fight, and it would just be their kids going to Hogwarts. Slightly boring, if you ask me.
