This is going to be a difficult one to explain. I want just to recreate these instructions here, but the Feedback group has the link's html and I can't recreate it for you.

What is it?
Goodreads is testing a new button feature that would replace the "Add Book" button that is currently displayed next/under a book not already on your bookshelf.

There is a lot of discussion about color, wording etc.,

BUT

Here's the kicker: There is a dropdown menu right there for all of your shelves when you click the button!!!♥

So if you want to do this (OR undo this) you must go here:
Push Button

Go to this discussion and click these links to try it.
* Click here to enable the new “Want to Read” button.
* Click here to switch back to the old “Add to my books” button.

I like the dropdown idea a lot. What I lost was my ability to "stick" certain shelves near the top and the ability to enter a "leading character" to narrow the search. I hope we get those back.

I'm keeping the old method because I don't want to lose my stickied shelves.

Kit★ (xkittyxlzt) I'm gonna give it a try, might be handy. Thanks for the heads-up! :)

Janice (jamasc) | 801 comments I'm a bit leary of trying it after reading the commments in the feedback group. I might just wait until it's out of beta testing.
