There is a lot of discussions about Fav/Last/Worst NS books i was wondering which was your first and did it switch you on to read more NS books.

Mine was The Notebook and i picked it up at the Airport by chance and read it in one go on my flight in floods of tears. From there i started picking up his books by random and so far have enjoyed the ones i have read.

A Walk to Remember.

The notebook, and I enjoyed it a lot.

the notebook...

The Notebook! I read it before the movie came out. It's the first and only book that had me bawling like a baby.

The Notebook & I loved it! I haven't read any more yet but I've bought a few. I'm a little nervous that they won't live up to how amazing The Notebook was, but from what people have told me, I don't think I'll be disappointed.

A Walk To Remember

I saw the movie first, read the book next, and cried myself to sleep. It was beautiful.

A Walk to remember!...

"A Walk To Remember" is my 1st Nicholas Spark book. I remember when I read a book synopsis in Newsweek I think, when it was launched years ago, and I was so touched by the story, and when I finally read the book...it became one of my most favorite and most unforgettable! :)

"A Walk To Remember". Came across this title and then grabbed this book. Really an awesome book. Loved it. I had seen the movie too. But the description in book is far better and touching..

The Notebook was my first book by Nicholas Sparks. I loved it so much I had to read all his books. I think he is such a great author.

the last song

"Walk." I picked it up at the library while passing the time between classes during grad school.

I also read The Notebook first because I watched the movie and wanted to read the book based on how good the movie was :)

A Walk to Remember. Then started reading the rest of his works. Love it! Nicholas Sparks is a legend.

The Notebook <3

I read The Notebook first because it was first published and then read the next five books in order as they were published. I occasionally pick up his books and read them now (as casual beach/vacation reads) but I find them repetitive and they all seem to be written "for" the eventual movie (I think this started with Nights in Rodanthe). So I'm not such a big fan anymore.

The Lucky One. I saw the movie first, and then i have read it.

I like all of Nick Sparks' book, but there are some that stand out from the other stories.

1. A walk to remember
2. True Choice
3. The Notebook
4. The Guardian

I think my least favorite book was Dear John. I read the book and then watched the movie. I was so sickened by the movie I grabbed the book and started saying things like "he is to old" and "why did they cast Henry Thomas as Tim?" while watching the movie. I can't even remember if the book is even good because the movie ruined it.

I read "A Walk to Remember" first.

The notebook.

My favourite book is The Choice... It's not one of his most popular novels, nor has it yet been made into a movie... But I find the characters a lot more realistic and can relate with them...

The Last Song. It was the first one I bought and $7 at Indigo and it was hardcover! I'm an aspiring author and I always said I want to be like Nicholas Sparks and other authors. I decided to stop saying it and pick that book up. It was a fascinating read and it really pulled me in. I did buy his other books but unfortunately, don't hate me, but the second book of his I read was The Notebook. And I hated it. Simply wasn't for me and hope the movie is better (often if I don't like the book the movie is normally better, like Breaking Dawn) and my sister would get me the movie. Ugh! I love his other books. My favourites are Safe Haven (great movie too!) and The Guardian.

I read " The Notebook" after seeing the movie. As a hospice nurse, I encounter many couples losing a life long partner and the struggle of what to do now after years of being the family caregiver of a loved one with Alzheimer's and what purpose I am to live for.

The notebook, I loved it, though it's not exactly as the book is.. but that's what makes a good adaptation. Really liked it.

A Walk To Remember was my first Nicholas Spark book.

A walk to remember,..

At first sight, I'm just gonna say that the last chapters broke me into many many pieces, I think it is one of the saddest endings in Nicholas Sparks books.

A Walk To Remember...First and All time favorite

I've read The Notebook first. Since, I liked The Notebook, I read The Rescue afterwards.
And I've seen movies of Nicolas Sparks' books adaptation such as Dear John, Nights in Rodanthe, Safe Haven. Damn, I almost forgot to add one of my favorite movies, A Walk To Remember.

My first book was The Notebook! That was suggested by one of my friend. I think it is one of the greatest work by him, all the field are remarkable in it.
