The Notebook
question
What was your First Nicholas Sparks Book

There is a lot of discussions about Fav/Last/Worst NS books i was wondering which was your first and did it switch you on to read more NS books.
Mine was The Notebook and i picked it up at the Airport by chance and read it in one go on my flight in floods of tears. From there i started picking up his books by random and so far have enjoyed the ones i have read.

I think the first one I read was The Notebook. I haven't read all of them but I did buy a couple recently that I hope to read in the next few months.
My first Nicholas Sparks book was "The Notebook." Both the movie and the story are amazing.
True Believer. It was three years ago when I was in sixth grade.
My first NS book was 'A Walk To Remember'. I was looking for something to read, and my mom had this romance, and lent it to me. Once I went to bed I started reading, and just couldn't let go. When I got to the end of it, I was sobbing like never before in my life! I was about the same age as the characters, back then. Spent almost a week wondering why life is so unfair. But I managed to read most of his books after that, and actually like most of them.
The Notebook! I read it before the movie came out. It's the first and only book that had me bawling like a baby.
The Notebook & I loved it! I haven't read any more yet but I've bought a few. I'm a little nervous that they won't live up to how amazing The Notebook was, but from what people have told me, I don't think I'll be disappointed.
A Walk To Remember
I saw the movie first, read the book next, and cried myself to sleep. It was beautiful.

"A Walk To Remember" is my 1st Nicholas Spark book. I remember when I read a book synopsis in Newsweek I think, when it was launched years ago, and I was so touched by the story, and when I finally read the book...it became one of my most favorite and most unforgettable! :)
My first Nicholas Sparks book was The Notebook too! I watched A Walk to Remember and then The Notebook and I loved them!! From then on I started reading his books.
a walk to remember..it made me a nicholas spark fan *instantly*
NOTEBOOK was my first book by Nicholas Sparks and i liked it too :)
"A Walk To Remember". Came across this title and then grabbed this book. Really an awesome book. Loved it. I had seen the movie too. But the description in book is far better and touching..
The Notebook was my first book by Nicholas Sparks. I loved it so much I had to read all his books. I think he is such a great author.
A walk to remember - read on recommendation from a friend. I read almost all other books by Nicholas later. Such was the effect of 'A walk to remember'. But 'A bend in the road' & 'The last song' were the excellent ones.
Message in a bottle. Still my favorite NS book followed by A Walk to remember and the Notebook.
Well this is tough I have read most of the book and watched all the movies

A walk to remember! And I didn't like the book. Thought it was overhyped.

Mine was The Notebook and i picked it up at the Air..."
My first was A Walk to Remember, which remains my favorite book by Nicholas sparks. I enjoyed the movie, as well, and pull it out when I'm in the mood for a good cry. I also enjoyed The Last Song (movie too) and Dear John, even though I really hated the girl (Savannah?) because I thought she was wishy-washy and self-centered.

The Notebook! The book is so much better than the movie. The movie makes Allie seem like a ditz which I can't stand. But then again, the movie does have Ryan Gosling in it so I guess that makes up for everything. :)
