There is a lot of discussions about Fav/Last/Worst NS books i was wondering which was your first and did it switch you on to read more NS books.

Mine was The Notebook and i picked it up at the Airport by chance and read it in one go on my flight in floods of tears. From there i started picking up his books by random and so far have enjoyed the ones i have read.

A walk to remember - read on recommendation from a friend. I read almost all other books by Nicholas later. Such was the effect of 'A walk to remember'. But 'A bend in the road' & 'The last song' were the excellent ones.

The Notebook...!! Though all his books make me cry..

The Notebook!!

Message in a bottle.Loved it !

The Notebook .. And it was amazing !!

The Wedding for sure..i never thought i would love it as much as i did.

Mine was A Walk to Remember. And I did cried a river. Promise.

A Walk to Remember!

THE NOTEBOOK is my favorite NS book.

Last song was my first book, I was hooked after read it

The Notebook popped my Nicholas Sparks cherry but I keep getting disappointed by the movies. Casting is always good but they always feel like a Lifetime movie, apart from The Notebook because it felt more sprawling like a proper movie. Aside from the fact that every book is pretty much based on the same formula, I still appreciate him.

My first was the audio version of The Notebook. I listened to it more than once. Yes it did convince me to read more of Sparks's work. I'm not sure any of the others that I read topped The Notebook though.

The Notebook. I read it twenty years ago and I cried when I read the end. I think the book is much better than the movie.

I picked him up at an airport as well.
:)

I can't remember but I think it was "A Walk to Remember" or "Message in a Bottle"

The Last Song! It was so cute, and I did not think the movie did it justice.

Walk to remember, love it!

Message in a bottle

The Notebook. I saw the movie first and then read the book.

My absolute favourite was The Wedding. It was amazing to read, and beautiful.

The Last Song !

A Walk To Remember....but I was more impressed by The Notebook..

The last song was my first book from him.

The first book by Nicholas Sparks that I read was The Best Of Me and I liked it so much that I have read almost all written by him.

The Notebook.

A Walk to Remember.

I had wanted to borrow the book Message in a Bottle but I couldn't find it in the library so I went for the only book available on the shelf which was A Walk to Remember. Loved it! I had been following his books since then! Always wanting to be the first to read his new releases!
