Eric, the VOICE of reason?? You have GOT to be kidding me. I love my Viking, but please. When did he get all soft? I know that seeing Godric has probably freaked him out. But the role reversal between Eric and Bill is awkward at best. I am not going to lie though, I miss angry Bill. I like him better when he hates humanity, yadda yadda. I am excited to see what is going to go down btw Bill and Sookie in the coming episodes. They have been hinting at a Bill and Sookie reunion all over the place (Just last night jason was reminding Sookie how much she loved Bill, and that it was real once)**Sookie is being followed by an evil scary vampire. No idea what that is about, but I like where it is going.
It is just a matter of time before Eric stakes all the members of the "Authority."
I llaughed when Lafayette was pretending to commune with the spirit of the Iraqi woman and then she shows up for real. The whole thing with Luna getting stuck as Sam was funny. I bet that was hard for the actor to play both sides or however they put that together. The evil scary vampire guy was interesting and I was curious how Claudine knew his name.
Wow...i about Jumped out of my skin when that Vamp-ghost showed up in Sookie's Bathroom!!!! I was so happy Lafayette got to say goodbye to Jesus. (who i miss dearly, btw).
I loved Pam's gift to Tara.
The Bill and Eric storyline is taking a weird tangent.
I must say too, that part of the draw for me with the series was the interaction between sookie and the vampires/sups and i really feel that missing this season. Yes, she's more active with the fairies, but it's just not the same!!!

Stephanie, I feel you on the fairy interaction. I prefer the vamp/sup stories. Who do you all think the evil, scary vamp is? Russell? Bill?
I hope next week answers that question for us.

I love the relationship with Pam and Tara. I like Tara so much more now that she is a vampire. (any scene with Pam is a good scene)
Well, Claudine knew the Vampire, and said his name (which now I don't remember) But it wasn't Bill or Eric. I can't imagine if it was one of them! What a tangled web that would be.
I really don't think it is Bill and Russell would have the history but I really don't think it is him.

i really thought Quinn was going to show up this season, in this episode in particular...kinda disappointed!
The werewolf scene kinda reminded me of the one in the book but the guy facilitating the challenge was no Quinn.
Wow, haven't been on here in a long time. But after watching this episode, my first thought was, "what the hell is going on? I need to get back on Goodreads and read other people's take on this season." I love that the show has strayed from the books so much that I have no idea where this crazy ride is going, but I am freaking out! Okay...I LOve that Tara is a vamp and Pam is her maker. They are PERFECT! I love that Lafayette went and got info from his crazy mama! What a riot. I adore Steve Newlin as a suck up newbie vamp. He cracks me up. I like Claude....not what I expected, but I'm happy Sookie finally gets some answers and some help. I like the Alcide storyline and look forward to him gaining control over that pack, somehow. Agree with all of you that Sam was awesome in the dual role.
What I don't like....the Terry vs. smoke monster story. I love Terry and Arlene, but this storyline is annoying. The only redeeming part is that Lafayette is involved now. Any scene he's in is better because of him. The whole Vampire Authority has been sooo disappointing. I hate all of them. I was actually happy when the kid got staked. He was awful. I hate the Sanguinista cult. I HATE that Bill and Eric participated in that bloodbath (although I loved seeing Godric) and are involved in any way with Russell. And I just don't understand what is going on with Bill. Evolving? Cool line, but so far removed from any Bill that's recognizable to me. I just don't see where this is all going. Oh and I hated the scene with Lafayette being tortured by Jesus' psycho uncle. The lips sewn shut thing was too much for me. Glad lil mama took it upon herself to stab the hell outta Tio Crazypants, but why?

I mean this is the same guy that twisted Lorena's head around in a circle (ehem) So he definitely has a bit of dark in him. But who knows, maybe it is all an act??
You can tell Eric is super disappointed in him (like a parent) which makes me laugh. Again- Eric the voice of reason? Hardly. But I guess he has a slight moral compass in him somewhere from Godric (oye, I love Godric)
I feel like everyone on here has made an overal concensus that the smoke monster story line has to end. We all love Terry and Arlene (as side characters) but, it really is just plain boring. You are right though. Any scene LaLa is in, is a great scene. When he held Jesus's hand in the car, I nearly cried. I MISS HIM so much. I wish he didn't die.
Ok- Steve Newlin and Russel? HILARITY. I kind of love them together. I could use more Russel scenes. He is by far the most "colorful" character on the show, lol
***Nicole, I am with you girl. HOWEVER- WHERE DOES QUINN FIT IN?? Honestly, how does TB not see him as a worthwhile character? He took up a bulk of 2 of CH's books for cripes sake!!

It worked for me when he used that dark side against the even darker side. But now he's joining forces with the bad guys? blah. They could have introduced Quinn during the packmaster event. That is how he was introduced in the book.
True...but how could they hook him up with Sookie? She's all anti Sup right now and doesn't seem to be in the mood for any loving. She needs to find out who killed her parents....(I like the book answer to that question better than the TB way, but whatever).
I forgot that Sookie was a HUGE part of the pack proceedings between Alcide's Dad and the other guy. (they used her for her mind reading abilities to see when the other guy cheated...)She has NOTHING to do with the pack at all in TB this season. A damn shame, b/c it would have been the perfect time to introduce Quinn. Even if Sookie wasn't there, he could have been a new character in Bon Temps. Maybe she could have met him at Merlots?
I am re-writing the season. I'll contact Alan and see what he thinks, LOL
My friend emailed Alan Ball after he was dissatisfied with watching the first episode of the current season. I think they could have introduced Quinn some how.

I haven't enjoyed this season at all! The authority, smoke monster and fairy storylines are just not good, and the entire season feels extremely disjointed. I have always loved TB, but it has gone completely off the rails this season and I'm not sure there's enough time left to redeem it!TB is always crazy - usually in a good way - but this is just a big ole bunch of crazy that is really disappointing to me. I'm not sure I'll continue watching if there is another season :(
I don't think there is going to be one but we will see.
There better be a season 6. Looking forward to tonights episode! :)
