Hi Jean-Luke, Tracey invited me to play along. I can't get a hold of this at such short notice (I'm in Italy) and it's not quite old enough for Gutenberg, plus I'll be travelling a lot. But I will follow along with the discussion, and will wait for September's book.
Tracey just invited me, too, and I can get this at my local library, so I'm in. (Hi Hayes!)

I might squeeze this one in along with GWTW -- it's a short one, I believe.

It is short, my copy is only 205 pages. And don't worry, I won't tell Anna you've got a bit on the side ;-D.
**waves at Tracey**
hahaha! I never used to cheat on my current read, but these chunksters require blocks of time, and sometimes a quick read fills in the gaps. ;-O
But, I won't start for another week, most definitely.
Well, now this group should see a bit more activity....

Is there a schedule of chapters to be read for each week? Or do we wait until we are finished the entire book to start posting?
New here and don't want to give away spoilers.

The question is how to handle spoilers for the "slower" readers. (Or late-starters, like me.)

I prefer to open the discussion threads at the beginning, and mark spoilers, letting people join in at their own pace. I've never done a group read that had a delayed start date for the discussion like this, so I have no idea how it will work.
How do you see this working for a two-book month? (I'm just asking and not meaning to be critical; just thinking out loud.)

I see your point about IRL book clubs. I've gotten so used to "running (open-ended)" book discussions on GR, that I hadn't thought about taking notes for later discussion. I'm game to give it a try.

The freebies are bad enough, and then I wander into "it's only $2.99" territory! lol I'm happy that my library has many of the books I read.

I hear you. I like my kindle as an option, definitely. But, now I have two libraries to borrow from, and the Uni has lots of the old or obscure books, too.
Bedtime for me, now! Have a good day at work, Kim! See you tomorrow

Anyway, goodnight and sleep tight, Jeannette. x
I do buy books after I've read them (and loved them), but I generally don't buy a book I don't know anything about. I would really rather read it first from the library.
Now, You sleep tight! Enjoy the weekend. :)

I have no idea what you're talking about. *shoves Kindle loaded with free-to-$2.99 books under stack of papers* Uh uh.
I am so hooked on Netgalley it's ludicrous. Free books, in exchange for reviews? I can do that.
I'm just getting started on Friday morning, Tracey; Kim's heading to bed. Happy weekend to you, too! :)
Hi girls... 3:00 in the afternoon here. Enjoy the day and the weekend.

Tracey wrote: "Yes, it does help to actually pay attention to the time tags, doesn't it? Kim wished you a good night eight hours ago. I'm still only halfway through my first coffee at 9 AM."
:)
Have a nice weekend, Hayes!
Glad you found the book, Kimberley!
