Remmie walked through the woods, looking for a great place to sit. She needed to be in a quiet, calm area so she could hear clearly.
Derrik sat in the woods, his back against a tree as he looked up at a bird in a tree. He took out his sketch book, and began to draw.
Remmie stopped, closing her eyes in frustration. Someone was near. All the animals were yelling and saying so.
Derrik finished the sketch of the bird quickly, and began sketching the tree it was on. He then starting singing a song he wrote a long time ago softly, a song about fighting and happiness. He didn't remember some of the lyrics, but he didn't care.
Derrik was too wrapped up in his drawing to notice the sound of someone walking around, he kept drawing, singing softly as he did.
Remmie couldn't hear the animal's thoughts when he was distracting her. So, she threw a pinecone at him, giving him a look saying: I'm here!
Derrik jumped and stopped singing and drawing, looking up in surprise. His gaze landed on Remmie, and he frowned. "Can I help you?" he asked in a calm voice.
Remmie nodded, pissed. Not at him; the animals. They were practically screaming in her head. "Please stop singing." She rubbed at her temples, looking around at the trees. She needed the animals to stop screaming.
Derrik blinked, watching her with curious eyes, but nodded. "No problem," he said. "Are you alright?" he wondered, furrowing his brows. She looked as if she was in pain.
Derrik frowned a little. "What do you mean?" he wondered. He liked the sound of the animals, especially the birds. They're singing was very nice to him.
Derrik blinked in acknowledgement, feeling a little bad for her. "Oh. I'm sorry," he murmured, looking down at his sketch, then looking back up at the tree the bird was in. The bird had disappeared. He sighed and closed his sketch book, standing and stretching.
Break*Through*Angel wrote: "Sam walked through the woods. The trees rejuvinated him, the serenity calming. He scowled to himself. Why did he sound so much like a girl? He shook his head and kept walking. He heard voices ..."Zeldia walked on a log, balancing side to side. She was super bored with nothing to do.
Derrik nodded, giving a small smile and putting his sketch book away. "Well.... I hope it gets better.... I'm Derrik," he told her.
Derrik nodded, giving her a small grin. "Very nice to meet you.... so if the animals are annoying... then why are you in the forest?" he wondered, tilting his head to one side.
Remmie's nose twitched. "I can still hear them from the camp, but i'm trying to control it out here."
Derrik frowned a little. "Oh... well good luck with that," he told her with a small smile. "I hope you succeed," he told her.
Derrik frowned a little. "Half Vampire, half Demon," he said, looking at her warily, and expecting her to give him a nasty look.
Derrik blinked, a little surprised, but nodded. "Well, I've never met and anipath," he said with a small smile.
Zeldia yelped, falling off the log. She landed on the ground with a thud. "What the hell?" she rubbed the back of her head. It was sore.
Derrik nodded. "I'm guessing you go here too? Do you have any siblings?" he wondered, tilting his head to one side.
Derrik nodded, feeling a little bad for her. "Oh...." he fell silent unsure of what to say. "So... you're an anipath... that means you like animals, right? Unless... they annoy you too much?"
Remmie grinned, shaking her head. "No. It means i can hear their thoughts and put thoughts into their heads. Sometimes emotions. But it can be dangerous."
Derrik nodded, looking at her with interest now. "That's pretty impressive..." he murmured, wishing he had that instead of being a vampire demon thing.
Zeldia nodded. "It's fine. Just hurts a little. Thanks." She was glad she didn't break her neck. She just got here.
Derrik sighed. "Well, yeah but still... better than being a vampire demon hybrid," he said with a frown.
Remmie sighed. He didn't get it. When she was asleep, the animals took over her and she attacked people. That's why she sleeps outside. "What's it like?"
She smiled. "Zeldia." Se stuck out her hand for him to shake.Remmie nodded. "Yes." It was probably better than being an empath.
Derrik frowned as he tried to think of words to describe it. "Sometimes.... when the demon part of me takes over," he said carefully, "I lose control... and don't remember what I've done.... so... the days I've been alive are sometimes a mystery to me... because I've forgotten so much," he told her, swallowing nervously, and furrowing his brows as he looking down at the ground.
Remmie looked down at her shoes, ashamed. "Well, when i'm either asleep or at my most vulnerable animal emotions take over my mind and body." She weaved a finger through a peice of grass.
Derrik frowned a little, nodding in understanding. "I see..." he murmured. "So... we kind of have some things in common... right?" he said, offering a small smile.
