I am currently reading New York to Dallas. This one has been hard to read. Eve is getting hit with a lot of emotional issues.

One of the most emotional, I think.

It is very emotional but one of my favorites.
oops, wrong book, wrong group!!! lol. Sorry about that! I finished the last one Finished Golden in Death. I'm anxiously awaiting shadows in Death out in September.

My next read in the series is Apprentice in Death #43. I tend to stretch out my Robb books so I won't run out too quickly! I have up to #50 on the tbr.
Finished Golden and restarted series for the 3rd time. I'm at Strangers atm again. I forgot how much I enjoyed Charles messing up....crap! Almost did a spoiler. Does everyone read the novellas in the series, too?
I got behind on the buddy reads last year so I am ready to start Secrets in Death. Echoes was really good, Eve was really challenged by the case as it brought up issues she is still dealing with. I loved how she is getting closer to her friends, it was nice for the story to end on a happy party.I always read the novellas, there are always little connections between them and the novels.
I'm up to Secrets in Death, as well. Echoes kind of tore me up, so I'm hoping the next one won't be so harsh.
I've read up to Golden in death but restarted the series, but April of last year I started over because I wanted to review the characters. I am now back on Celebrity in Death.

I read the novellas with each reread. I ended with the third reread.

So, are you on your second or third re-read?
FYI, the character lists are in the linked booked discussions here:

I've reread the series straight through including novellas three times. And I've read specific favorites many more times. I never tire of these stories & characters.
I did a total re-read including novellas, the beginning of this year. Like Sandra, I have a few favorites, that I've listened to even more. I go to them if I'm having a bad day or if I read a book that I didn't like much.
Jonetta, I am on my second re-read. I started reading it over with a friend and got her hooked! Like you, I picked up the Novellas and incorporated them into my second round.

LOL

Well...until you go through the series the 2nd and 3rd time. LOL
Jonetta wrote: "Congrats, Karen! Now you join the rest of us who have to wait impatiently for the next release."Exactly!
So close to finishing Survivor 😮 the character that is the survivor just absolutely got me right in the feels 🥹 utter heartbreak 💔 1/4 of the book left to go, then onto Origin ⭐️
Holly wrote: "So close to finishing Survivor 😮 the character that is the survivor just absolutely got me right in the feels 🥹 utter heartbreak 💔 1/4 of the book left to go, then onto Origin ⭐️"I've read/listened to this book several times. It gets me every single time.
I haven’t started the In Death series yet but I do have a question about it. Are the main characters Eve and her husband Roarke in throughout the entire series? I am currently reading another Nora Roberts book titled Black Hills. Once I am finished with it I will start the first In Death book. Do they need to be read in numerical order?
Erin - Yes, Eve and Roarke appear in all of the books, along with a bunch of supporting characters. I would definitely read these books in order. There is a lot of character growth throughout this series which is very evident when you read in order. Hope you enjoy the books!
it seems that when I finished the series the 1st time, I had to wait for the next book for 6 months and when it came out, I started the series again to reacquaint myself again. I seem to have done that every time so I am on my 4th time and I get different feels each time, but I still love the series. I laugh at different parts. I still cry. Nora just hits it outta the park. I'm gonna find a book by her that doesn't kill it for me, but I'm gonna say to myself "you're just in a mood. read it again in a few months and it'll be spot on." and it will. I really hope everyone enjoys her as much as I do.

I’ve read the series three times and found something new each time. It’s been a long time since I’ve done that and maybe next year I do another reread. I remember how happy it made me.

Getting close to finishing! Well, okay, sort of. I keep stretching the series out. In a month or so (when the tbr has breathing room) I'll be into #48, Connections in Death.
I agree with Robin. I've read this series two or three times with the group, and listened to it a few times after I purchased the audios. Like Jonetta, I see something new with each reading. I love these characters, and can't get enough.
I recently finished Ceremony In Death. Took a while to finally get that and the audio book. Fortunately I have at least the next 2 or 3 on my Nook or Audible or Chirp libraries. I have long way to go.
