Wow! So many devoted fans of the series. I was so exhausted last night that I fell asleep with my kindle in hand with only a paragraph left in the chapter I was reading. Hubby had to nudge me to take my glasses off and officially give up.

I guess my point is that no matter how compelling the book is, sometimes the physical takes over for your own good.
Sorry! I got your point:) Just trying to be clever. Falling asleep with a kindle in your hand would be considered normal for this group.
I hadn't picked up a book from this series in a long time. This week I read
Memory in Death. Perfect time of year to read this mystery set at Christmas.
Kirsten wrote: "New book coming in January!!! (Or is it February?)"Kirsten, it's the 30th of January. I have Dark in Death pre-ordered.
I'm starting "Delusion in Death (In Death, #35) " next week or by the weekend. Took a break after finishing "Celebrity" because that was just OK for me.
Although I've read the first 7 books several times, I'm up to #28 Promises In Death in my 2nd complete re-listen (can only listen to the audiobooks..Susan Ericksen is phenomenal!!) of the series. I haven't started it yet because as with Conspiracy In Death and a couple others in the series, I dread the emotional fallout which I know will absolutely gut me like the first time!!!
I just finished reading Strangers in Death. I'm doing a reading challenge for my library where I have to read books from countries other than US. So I will have to put In death on hold :(
I read Haunted in Death. I usually like the novellas in this series, but this was my least favorite.
In an effort to "savor" the series, once I caught up to the new releases I generally put off reading them for as long as I can. However, needing an Eve fix I'm currently listening to Dark in Death.
I'm doing the same thing Denise, the novella just wasn't enough!I finished Secrets in Death (03/15) and getting ready to start Born in Death for the March Buddy read.

How fun!

Waiting for Leverage ID (#47) to be released in Sept. 2018 (a few short weeks away) love Nora's newsletter because you get a sneek-peek to wet your beak!& have pre-ordered Feb. 2019 - Connections ID (#48), as well.
Well as you know 'Leverage In Death' has been released & has beenDuly Devoured (at least by me!)
I await the next installment book #48
, which will be fitting for 2019 Reading Challenge! I am also awaiting an opportunity to jump into either a group or buddy read - kinda like someone waiting to jump rope 'Double-Dutch!' 😅 Happy 'In Death' Autumn Reading (& reads) 🎃🍂🎑
I finished listening to Reluctant Housemates by Linda Barrett, Pilgrim Cove #3, and it was so good being back in this seaside town. Here’s my review.
I’m listening to Clockwork Prince by Cassandra Clare, The Infernal Devices #2.

Since I'm pretty new to the series, I'm currently reading Interlude in Death and probably going to start Seduction in Death later today.
Arlene wrote: "Since I'm pretty new to the series, I'm currently reading Interlude in Death and probably going to start Seduction in Death later today."The bad part about starting the series late is that you can read as fast or as slow as you want knowing there is another one available. Then, before you know it, you're caught up and have to wait for Robb to release the next one. She is good about getting two out a year but it isn't enough. LOL When I started I think she was on twenty something. I think she was on Promises at the time I caught up.

Yea, I'm just glad that I'm really loving the series so that when I'm finished with one, I can go right into the next one. Like I just finished Portrait in Death and trying to pick up some of my other TBR books before I get sucked into reading like 5 in a row again. lol (not that it's a bad thing)

If you think you’re addicted reading the books, the audiobooks could possibly take said addiction to meteoric levels 😊
I just finished Innocent in Death. Wow! I had suspicions early in but didn’t think that was where the story was going. Then it all just hit you in the face. I love this series!
I've read a few of the books. However, I've always wanted to read the first few books. I'm reading and listening to the first book, "Naked in Death". It's interesting reading about Eve's suspicions about Roarke when you already know what happens between them. Despite this, I'm really enjoying reading about their relationship before it becomes a relationship.

There’s a huge payoff in reading this series in order because the character development, both main and secondary is pretty incredible! Urge you to consider doing so.

That one did take a turn! One of my favorites.

That is why I'm reading the first book now.

Thanks, will do!
I was keeping up pretty well in the BR but for some reason I'm about 4 books behind now. I'm starting Delusion in Death next.
I’m a latecomer to the series. I absolutely love it! The novella Ritual in Death is up next then Promises in Death. I have collected most of the books and can go back to reread my favorite parts.

I have some of the early books in hardback then I switched to the ebooks with the audio when they went on sale 10 or so year ago. I pick up old books when I see them at flea markets and yard sales.

I love these so much I find myself hoarding them. Trying to not read them all back-to-back. Pacing at its best. It’s killing me...in the best way.
I've only listened to them. I just finished this morning on my way to work Obsession in Death and will be beginning Devoted in Death on my way home.
I'm catching up! Read Connections in Death and Vendetta in Death this month.Taking a break before I dive back in.
