Glad to know it’s not just me!"
I guess my point is that no matter how compelling the book is, sometimes the physical takes over for your own good.
Sorry! I got your point:) Just trying to be clever. Falling asleep with a kindle in your hand would be considered normal for this group.

Kirsten, it's the 30th of January. I have Dark in Death pre-ordered.

I finished Secrets in Death (03/15) and getting ready to start Born in Death for the March Buddy read.

How fun!

& have pre-ordered Feb. 2019 - Connections ID (#48), as well.

Duly Devoured (at least by me!)
I await the next installment book #48

Happy 'In Death' Autumn Reading (& reads) 🎃🍂🎑
I finished listening to Reluctant Housemates by Linda Barrett, Pilgrim Cove #3, and it was so good being back in this seaside town. Here’s my review.
I’m listening to Clockwork Prince by Cassandra Clare, The Infernal Devices #2.

The bad part about starting the series late is that you can read as fast or as slow as you want knowing there is another one available. Then, before you know it, you're caught up and have to wait for Robb to release the next one. She is good about getting two out a year but it isn't enough. LOL When I started I think she was on twenty something. I think she was on Promises at the time I caught up.

Yea, I'm just glad that I'm really loving the series so that when I'm finished with one, I can go right into the next one. Like I just finished Portrait in Death and trying to pick up some of my other TBR books before I get sucked into reading like 5 in a row again. lol (not that it's a bad thing)

Hi Arlene, not sure if you’re an audiobook girl but if you are Susan Ericksen does a phenomenal job narrating the series. If you think you’re addicted reading the books, the audiobooks could possibly take said addiction to meteoric levels 😊

There’s a huge payoff in reading this series in order because the character development, both main and secondary is pretty incredible! Urge you to consider doing so.

That one did take a turn! One of my favorites.

Yeah, I agree. My goal is to read the series chronologically. I may have to wait some time to read some of the books, yet it will be worth it. That is why I'm reading the first book now.

Have fun!"
Thanks, will do!

I go back to my favorite sections all the time. There are some scenes throughout the series that warm my heart.
I have some of the early books in hardback then I switched to the ebooks with the audio when they went on sale 10 or so year ago. I pick up old books when I see them at flea markets and yard sales.

I was in Goodwill a couple of years ago and found 20 of the books in hardcover. I have never grabbed a cart so quickly to fill it up!!

Taking a break before I dive back in.
