Roz Curney-Sherod (rcurneys) | 34 comments Hi Everyone,
I don't always log a comment with this group but I have resolved this year to speak up! I love this series and only lately realized that you guys have already completed this series and are recommending other books. This is my first time with Eve and Roarke and I am really loving how they are growing as individuals and as a couple. I'll be starting "Survivor in Death" soon.

Karma Queen (karmaqueen) | 260 comments Welcome to the club Roz!

I'm still working my way through the series having just finished Delusion in Death (In Death, #35) by J.D. Robb . I'm on my library's electronic wait list for Devoted in Death (In Death, #41) by J.D. Robb .

Hi Roz! Glad to see you post.

Tina (trwriteratwork) | 70 comments Hey everyone!
I read the first 3 books a couple years back (ebooks) and I loved them but I couldn't keep at it - I really wanted to hold the book and turn the page to read more.
So last year, I collected the first 11 paperbacks and a few others here and there - some new, some very used - and I've started rereading Naked in Death (In Death, #1) by J.D. Robb with the buddy read. I'm only 3 chapters in but I'm really glad I'll be going through the whole series with the group! :)

You're getting close to being caught up, Karma Queen! Excellent!

Jadzia | 26 comments After finishing Naked in Death for the buddy read I went back and listened to Vengeance in Death where Eve and Summerset finally come to an understanding. They both would do anything for Roarke.

Only 2 weeks to go for Brotherhood in Death.

Beeg Panda (beegpanda) | 70 comments I've been listening to Memory in Death (In Death, #22) by J.D. Robb and goodness, life with Eve is such a see-saw roller coaster of a ride. It was 2 books ago, iirc, that I was so furious with her at one part of that book and then along comes this book and I'm practically in tears all the time. Robb and Eriksen make a brilliant team

And aww, Eve's connection with Dennis Mira....

message 1262: by Jadzia (new)

Jadzia | 26 comments Just loved this book they way Eve gets all soft and gooey over Dennis Mira.

For the next group read, I suggest Brotherhood in Death (In Death, #42) by J.D. Robb .

I DO hope that the homicide plot has no convenient link to any of the characters to do with the birthing classes they're attending.

I love this territorial Roarke and the plot is intriguing even though I'm not into vampires and the like. (Unless its the BDB and their sh1tkickers)

I finished Just Give Me a Reason by Rebecca Rogers Maher, Lopez Brothers #2, and liked it so much better than the first book in the series. Here's my review.

I'm now reading Whatever It Takes: A Grey Justice Novel by Christy Reece, Grey Justice #2.

Beeg Panda (beegpanda) | 70 comments I'm nearly done with Strangers in Death and just when I think the previous book can't be bettered, I find myself enjoying the next one just as much, if not more. I had this "ahah" moment when the relevance of the title was revealed to me - I love how J. D. Robb's mind works.

Can't believe this series is going into its 3rd decade now. I'm overwhelmed just thinking about it

Gary Sundell | 89 comments Ok so I read Book 1 back in 2014 before I joined GR. Finally getting to book 2 and am a bit over 1/3 of the way through. If Roarke keeps being a jerk I may throw my Nook across the room.

If you look at my GR profile you will not find a DNF shelf. I'm on my 3rd Nook. I gave away my original one to a friend when I got my second one. That one slipped out of my hand at one point and ended up screen down which cracked the screen. Then stupidly I set it on top of my car while I took off my suit coat and thinking I had put it in the car I headed out of a downtown Detroit parking structure. The Nook probably fell off the roof of my car along the Lodge freeway between Detroit and my office...sigh.
Liked that old Nook HD+ it had 32 gig of memory, my current Nook Tab E only has 16. Unfortunately, books can't be stored on the micro SD card.

End of off topic flashback....back to reading after I finish some paperwork here at my office.

message 1295: by Kirsten (new)

Kirsten (kmcripn) LOL! Gary, when I got my new Kindle I got the added memory.

message 1296: by Gary (new)

message 1297: by Gary (last edited Apr 14, 2016 03:14PM) (new)

Gary Sundell | 89 comments It looks lie my Nook will be going in for repairs. :( I will finish Glory in Death before I ship it off to be worked on. I guess this means reading paper books for a while and only coming on GR while I am at my office.

Speaking of book 2 I'm nearly 60% in and Eve seems no closer to catching the killer.

message 1298: by Kirsten (new)

Kirsten (kmcripn) Glory is one of my favorites, Gary! I hope you're enjoying it as much as I have.... the first, second, third, fourth.... times

message 1300: by Karen (new)

Karen (rhyta) | 184 comments I got a couple of backup Glowlights on ebay over the last two years for just that reason, they can break so easily. I don't like the new ones and these are the ones that do have the micro SD card slot. Got my Mom using one and she loves it.

Stay with the series, it just gets better and Roarke may act like a git once in a while but he is a wonderful character
