In Death Unplugged

Where are you in the series?
Welcome to the club Roz!I'm still working my way through the series having just finished
. I'm on my library's electronic wait list for
.
Hey everyone! I read the first 3 books a couple years back (ebooks) and I loved them but I couldn't keep at it - I really wanted to hold the book and turn the page to read more.
So last year, I collected the first 11 paperbacks and a few others here and there - some new, some very used - and I've started rereading
with the buddy read. I'm only 3 chapters in but I'm really glad I'll be going through the whole series with the group! :)

Hi Roz! Glad you've decided to chime in...love to hear your thoughts as you read the books. We have just started the series all over again as a buddy read. It's a good mixture or rereaders & new readers. Love to have you join the discussions.

After finishing Naked in Death for the buddy read I went back and listened to Vengeance in Death where Eve and Summerset finally come to an understanding. They both would do anything for Roarke.Only 2 weeks to go for Brotherhood in Death.
I've been listening to
and goodness, life with Eve is such a see-saw roller coaster of a ride. It was 2 books ago, iirc, that I was so furious with her at one part of that book and then along comes this book and I'm practically in tears all the time. Robb and Eriksen make a brilliant teamAnd aww, Eve's connection with Dennis Mira....
I've not yet read
but I am caught up other than this. I plan to read this soon. For the next group read, I suggest
.

Started listening to
and already enjoying the start with Eve and Roarke's disgust of all things babies and birthing....hilarious.....I DO hope that the homicide plot has no convenient link to any of the characters to do with the birthing classes they're attending.

I will be starting shortly, "Origin in Death" Since this is my first-time thru the series, have to spread it out. Reading the Will Trent series at the same time.
Oh Roz...I Loved the Will Trent series! Seriously awesome books.
And, of course, LOVE Origin in Death and the ID series. Hope you enjoy it.

I just finished Born In Death and have a quick SPOILERY question about the next one Innocent in Death. I see there is an old spoiler thread for this book - should I ask there rather than here?
I'd use this thread to pose your question (Questions about all things In Death):

Thanks!
I'm thoroughly enjoying Eternity in Death! Might be my fav so far.I love this territorial Roarke and the plot is intriguing even though I'm not into vampires and the like. (Unless its the BDB and their sh1tkickers)
I finished Just Give Me a Reason by Rebecca Rogers Maher, Lopez Brothers #2, and liked it so much better than the first book in the series. Here's my review.
I'm now reading Whatever It Takes: A Grey Justice Novel by Christy Reece, Grey Justice #2.

I'm nearly done with Strangers in Death and just when I think the previous book can't be bettered, I find myself enjoying the next one just as much, if not more. I had this "ahah" moment when the relevance of the title was revealed to me - I love how J. D. Robb's mind works. Can't believe this series is going into its 3rd decade now. I'm overwhelmed just thinking about it
I remember feeling that way the first time I read the series, Beeg. And now in my 3rd complete reread, I am still anxious to begin the next book, and the next, and the next! lol
I finished The Heart of It by Molly O'Keefe, a lovely little gem. Here's my review.
I'm now reading At the Stroke of Madness by Alex Kava, Maggie O'Dell #4.

Starting Brotherhood in Death today, so looking forward to it. It has been too long, I need my J.D. Robb fix

Ok so I read Book 1 back in 2014 before I joined GR. Finally getting to book 2 and am a bit over 1/3 of the way through. If Roarke keeps being a jerk I may throw my Nook across the room.
Penni wrote: "LOL - it gets better. I promise.....Be good to the nook."
If you look at my GR profile you will not find a DNF shelf. I'm on my 3rd Nook. I gave away my original one to a friend when I got my second one. That one slipped out of my hand at one point and ended up screen down which cracked the screen. Then stupidly I set it on top of my car while I took off my suit coat and thinking I had put it in the car I headed out of a downtown Detroit parking structure. The Nook probably fell off the roof of my car along the Lodge freeway between Detroit and my office...sigh.
Liked that old Nook HD+ it had 32 gig of memory, my current Nook Tab E only has 16. Unfortunately, books can't be stored on the micro SD card.
End of off topic flashback....back to reading after I finish some paperwork here at my office.
It looks lie my Nook will be going in for repairs. :( I will finish Glory in Death before I ship it off to be worked on. I guess this means reading paper books for a while and only coming on GR while I am at my office.Speaking of book 2 I'm nearly 60% in and Eve seems no closer to catching the killer.
Glory is one of my favorites, Gary! I hope you're enjoying it as much as I have.... the first, second, third, fourth.... times
I got a couple of backup Glowlights on ebay over the last two years for just that reason, they can break so easily. I don't like the new ones and these are the ones that do have the micro SD card slot. Got my Mom using one and she loves it.Stay with the series, it just gets better and Roarke may act like a git once in a while but he is a wonderful character

I don't always log a comment with this group but I have resolved this year to speak up! I love this series and only lately realized that you guys have already completed this series and are recommending other books. This is my first time with Eve and Roarke and I am really loving how they are growing as individuals and as a couple. I'll be starting "Survivor in Death" soon.
