Beeg Panda (beegpanda) | 70 comments I'm listening to Portrait in Death and WOW it gave me chills to see that childhood Irish part of Roarke that I've mostly just heard him talk/think about: where he (view spoiler). That scene is so well written that I felt like I was there watching it all pan out. The difference between the boy he was then and the man he is now. It was awesome to watch him in action

Oh, I agree Beeg. Loved Portrait and I really loved the journey & evolution of Roarke throughout this series. I like that Robb gives us that side of him as well. All of it together made the man.

One of my most favorite books in the series.

Roz Curney-Sherod (rcurneys) | 34 comments I love this group but this is the first time for me reading the "In Death" series. I'm about to start "Visions", but now I'm really into Will Trent and just finished Fractured. I can't wait until he and Sarah meet. Still love Eve and Roarke!

Enjoy your first journey through the In Death series, Roz. It's special. Check in those In Death BR threads if you'd like to discuss any of the books.

I love Will Trent also & have just started #5, Fallen. And I can say that #4, Broken, is the best one I've read thus far!!

Room for both:) I'm a Will Trent fan, too, and share the love with many other series.

Eve's horror at the cook out invite by Dr Mira had me giggling in traffic this morning! I can't wait to see her at such an occasion. LOL

message 1175: by Kay (new)

Kay (kkfar) I am reading Promises in Death. I have read a few after this one but had trouble starting this one. I just did not want to read about Morris losing the lady he loved. Don't know why but I am finally reading it.

message 1176: by Kay (new)

Kay (kkfar) Read Obsession in Death a couple months ago. Great story. The thing that strikes me about this series is that after so many books the stories are still fresh, original and very interesting and still love Eve and Roarke. They are my number one romantic, hot couple.

message 1177: by Sandra (new)

Sandra Hoover (sandrahoover) | 11212 comments Mod
I agree with the stories staying fresh & original. It never ceases to amaze me that Robb can do that after so many books in this series.

I am already 50% into Devoted and am loving it as per usual! I am hoping to read Wonderment soon after...I know I can't believe I actually caught up!

I think I'm suffering withdrawals! lol I've been reading 2 In Death books a month for a very long time and now...nothing. Yes, I have many, many other books to get read but I still feel like something is missing! After having read the series all the way through twice and having read certain books within the series several times each, you'd think I'd be content for awhile. But I'm really looking forward to starting over in January! :)

Kris (My Novelesque Life) (mynovelesquelife) | 9 comments LOL! I can understand that. In Death is a cure for any reading problem - read a bad book and need a guaranteed good one next, reader's block, don't know what I want to read next, etc. I am excited for my first reread :)

I felt adrift when I stopped reading the books everyday! That's when I started Brockmann's Troubleshooters series. Maybe that's why it's a favorite because it was my salve after In Death.

Kris (My Novelesque Life) (mynovelesquelife) | 9 comments That is a series I want to read (I've read book 1)...You've given me an idea, Jonetta.

Cate (catemb) | 76 comments I am now at book 36: Calculated in Death

I intend to purchase it once I have finished my current book... Looks like I will eventually catch up! Only started 2 years ago though, so not bad going considering I read over 100 books/year. lol
