Have finished reading Festive In Death and waiting for Obession In Death to reached my town - Kuching, Sarawak, East Malaysia. It normally takes about six months to a year after publication to reach here.

I could order the book online, I suppose that will be quicker but the delivery postage cost more than the book, very much more. So, to save cost so that I can buy more books, I have to wait. Just wish that it can get here sooner.

Just finished Conspiracy and it was a tear jerker. It has been 5 years since I last listened and it was like a new book to me. So good

Definitely a favorite of mine. I always find it interesting that time & time again, I can reread the In Death books & enjoy them just like the first time...sometimes, more.

Our group In Death buddy reads is getting very close to "caught up"!! We'll read Thankless, Taken, & Concealed in August. Then Festive & Obsession in Sept. We came close to being ready for Devoted on 9/15!

I am now on Concealed in Death and it looks like I just might catch up! I have Obsession on hold at the library (for audio) and have already placed a hold on Devoted!

Just finished Survivor in Death. Just got back from vacation and couldn't post before. Yikes what an extremely sad book. I am looking forward to happier times in the Dallas/Roarke world.

I'm halfway through the audio version of and think this could be a favourite for me.

It seems like here Eve has grown so much yet hasn't lost her "Eveness", if that makes sense. I adore how she attempts to set up a romantic evening for Roarke, how utterly bewildered she is wrt choosing from Roarke's extensive collection of cutlery and crockery, ETC - LOL. How she lets up on her usual stringent rules to protect her new friends, Peabody and Nadine.

I'm enjoying the lighter moments: (view spoiler)[ The hilarious Peabody / MacNab / Charles Munroe goings on. Feeney's fancy green salad dressing cologne.....So many other special moments I'm delighting in (hide spoiler)]

I LOVED the side stories in this one, too. Especially that dinner scene:)

I finished Concealed a few days ago and I might be in the minority but I did not get into this case as much. I am hoping to start the next book in the series later tonight.

I'm thoroughly enjoying the audio of . Different formula to the previous ones and the characters just get better and better. I especially liked the car chase and Whitney's visit to her office gave me a good laugh.

Beeg - the character development in this series is just awesome. Following their lives from book to book in a series as long as this one really gives you an opportunity to come to know them like family. There is so much growth & evolving of relationships. I'm drawn to this series by the characters more than anything. Although, the cases are certainly top notch also.

Just finished Holiday in Death and I had forgotten a lot of this one too, last read in 2009.

Eve is really a trial to everyone and her interpersonal relationships take a lot of heat in this one. I really forgot (view spoiler)[Peabody luckily escapes being raped but is then left alone in the aftermath...not fair to her. (hide spoiler)] the twist at the end. But it was a good escape for me so glad I read it again.

It's really amazing that she survived the start she had in life...and made herself into the person she is now. At least, her luck changed for the better when she met Roarke. :)

Lol! It is the downside. There's a totally different feeling you have when you know there's one waiting for you whenever you're ready. When you catch up, you become aware of the absence of that security.

If I can't get the audio right away, I will check it out in hard-copy, but I have to own the audios. (Almost have a complete set!)

I'm fairly new to the group, and I read the first book back in July. Or early August. Anyway, recently and I loved it! Thanks to all my friends (who are somewhere in this group) who recommended it to me. Gotta me more of this series.
