In Death Unplugged

Where are you in the series?
Concealed in Death is next, for some reason the library has more copies of Festive in Death and every time I reserved both, Festive was available before Concealed. But finally Concealed is ready for pickup. (audio books, as these are the ONLY way to 'read' these books as Susan Ericksen is one of the best readers in the business and she has all the character voices locked in, you know you is talking.)

One of my very favorites. I remember thinking that the series had started coasting when this one came out and - WHAM! - the series is back cooking with gas again!

She performs these books!

I look forward to listening to each of them, a great way to get lost in the story.
I'm having a break after #15, just started re-reading 'Water for Elephants' before I read Sara Gruen's new one 'At the Water's Edge'...

I know, Jonetta! I read this one pretty quickly with all that I had to catch up on lol.
Vengeance, Divided, Visions, Innocent and Treachery in Death are my top so far! Treachery and Innocent are tied as my favourite of the favs :)

Ready to start Vengeance, have only read it once. Waiting to read Obsession, just dragging it out I guess.
Waiting for Obsession in Death - then I will be caught up! with the first read of the series that is!
Just started Vengeance for my second listen and it is quite a shock at the beginning. The crimes are very brutal and the tie in to Roarke and Summerset make it hard to stop listening.
Finished Vengeance, that was a tough one. Forgot how much we learn about Roarke and Summerset's past. This is where McNab comes in, more funny banter etc. A dark book but loved the way Eve and Summerset see each other differently at the end.

You saying how tough it was, I remember that was a really rough one when it seemed it put Eve, Roarke, and Summerset on the defensive. Not just against the criminal but also with each other at first. I thought the most interesting part was when Eve told Summerset she figured out why he didn't like her. It really took Summerset back by the truth of it.

Yes, I can't wait to get caught up on the series and start over lol. Seems like forever since I read this one.
I felt this was a turning point for Eve and Summerset. He really didn't like her, and Eve tough as she is struggled with that. With her background of her parents hatred/ambivilance to her as a person, Summersets disdain for her, just because of who/what she was, had to hit her in a very vulnerable spot. Once Summerset could see where some of his feelings were coming from and Eve could see that he was bringing in baggage of his own - not all just on Eve - that seemed to help them start to see each other in a little better light.

She already didn't feel good enough or have the skills to be a wife and Summerset made those insecurities increase which made her not like him back.
Good points everyone, Eve and Summerset got a better look at each other. Especially when Eve protected him, took a hit from the stunner. I think Summerset was shocked she did that and the realization hit him hard.
I don't know if this is the right place to post this, but I've just started over with Naked in Death. It's better than I remembered it and it's really good seeing Eve and Roarke fall in love. But that's not the point.Did you know? Cause I didn't until I heard the "copyright" part of the audiobook, that Naked was written in 1995. July 28th to be exact.
Wow. Our favorite series is TWENTY YEARS OLD this year!!!
Yep! I think someone gave me the paperback a couple of years later but it stayed on my bookshelf until five years ago when I got the eBook when my sisters-in-law raved about it.
20 years and over 50 books later...

Glad Nora has stuck with it this long, it is well worth it. I am half way through
and it is fantastic. Can't believe I am now on the most current book. I have loved reading them over a 5 year period and so glad I found them.

I read the series three times and with each reread, I found something I missed.

I am just starting #18 Divided in my re-read after a bit of a break. Got up to #28 Promises on my first read-through, so enjoying the ones I remember, and looking forward to the big stack of In Deaths waiting to be discovered.
Hi All, I just recently joined this group and am so glad I found it! So happy to know that others love these characters as much as I do. I'll be starting "Portrait in death" book 16. I love this series!
I have loved this series but fell behind the last few years. I am so glad I found this group. I am currently working on

It is the longest series I have read but it is so good, I will be re-reading it many times. You are lucky to have all of those books ahead of you to enjoy for the first time!
