This is one of the few that I have re-read too. I think it's a testament to the characters that we want to go back and visit them. I think it's like some tv shows to me. I just love them that much. Like Mulder and Scully... It never gets old.
And also - this series is so long compared to many others. It takes some time to reread the entire series...by the time you're ready to start over, the early books feel "new" again.
Still on a high after reading Portrait in Death (I love when I finish a good book). Currently on to Imitation in Death.
FINISHED Imitation in Death. Case really good and the villain was not the one I picked, but sure glad it was that one. This was a good one too. Taking a break before the next in the series.

OHHH. I'll take a look Kirsten. You are smart.
I'm caught up. I thought the last two were pretty good compared the few before it. But I love them all.

I'm in the middle of my reread of this one. This is a favorite of mine.

I am in the middle of re-reading Promises for the buddy reads... and then I think I am into new territory. Promises is the last of my paperbacks. I have the entire series up to there.
I am in the middle of Immortal, now I know why this is one of my faves. Just so much drama with Mavis and Leonardo, Eve really has her hands full on this one
I forgot to update where I am in the series...at the end of the month I read Indulgence In Death and Possession In Death and enjoyed them :)
I have read the series through to Promises, but just started again and bought the ones I was missing. re-read I am currently up to #7 Holiday - plan to read them all by the end of the year.
I really can't wait til September since I am current and listened to the latest a few times already.
I just finished Ceremony In Death, my second read of this one. I have a mixed reaction to this one, lots of good character development, interesting depictions of pagan beliefs and the relationship b/w Eve & Roarke continues to grow. That said, I didn't like all the nasty back biting in the relationship of Feeney & Eve and Eve brow beating Peabody when she had the guts to voice her opinions. The ending is a mess for me, I don't get how Eve goes from being a by the book cop to covering up a murder. I still enjoy the series but this one is a mass of contradictions IMHO
True Karen, it's almost Shakesperean at the end with the number of bodies on the floor! I wish the ending was slightly less bloody.

This one is on my top 5 favorites list! Glad you loved it, too.

I just finished Festive in Death and loved it. The character interactions are getting so good, Eve and Sommerset were great as usual. Victim was a creep but Eve still did her best to find his killer, love how she does her job no matter what. Can't believe I am now up to the most current book. Been reading these books slowly over a 5 year period and I've finally caught up to the author LOL
