JSWolf | 95 comments I'll get mine once I find the best place to get the eBook.

Kirsten (kmcripn) I'm more of an audiobook person, just can't get enough of Susan Ericksen!

I'm reading Festive in Death now!

message 855: by Kim (new)

Kim (skullfullofbooks) I'm currently on Vengeance in Death and stocked up to Interlude in Death. I like to read one of these as a palate cleanser after some rougher reads so my moving through the series is relatively slow.

If you're reading true crime, this has got to be a respite.

message 857: by Kim (new)

Kim (skullfullofbooks) Oh yeah, between true crime and nonfiction informative books on criminology/criminal justice fields it is a big break. Even though she hits on some rougher topics at times, she manages to keep it lighter than most.

I loved that one, definitely a favourite short story for me!
Portrait was definitely great. Close to a personal favourite (Though I have a lot of them)!
I'm almost done with Concealed in Death.

message 863: by Kirsten (new)

Kirsten (kmcripn) My favorites are Glory, then Naked, then that one with the crooked cop (Treachery?), then New York to Dallas.

Thanks! This book is hilarious because of how Eve and Roarke are reacting to Mavis' pregnancy :D

Rachael (dleurban) | 33 comments I'm just finishing my re-read of Vengeance in Death (In Death, #6) by J.D. Robb . Much more gruesome than I remembered but I missed a lot of the details. Amazing book and still one of my favourites. I strangely love the books that are a bit more violent on occasion.

I think this is one of the most gruesome in the series.

That's a really, really good one.

message 874: by Kirsten (new)

Kirsten (kmcripn) Finished Taken in Death (in Death, #37.5) by J.D. Robb last night, just started Concealed in Death (In Death, #38) by J.D. Robb this morning!

Jonetta, Catherine Elizabeth - TREACHERY has got to be in my top 10 of the In Death books.

message 875: by Jonetta (new)

Jonetta (ejaygirl) | 15057 comments Mod
It's in my top 10, too. Maybe top 5.

Rachael (dleurban) | 33 comments Jonetta wrote: "It's in my top 10, too. Maybe top 5."

It was a nice way to see how a dirty cop would be handled by Eve. It kept the action up, and wasn't gory - just fast paced and still entertaining.

I'm re-reading Seduction in Death (In Death, #13) by J.D. Robb . This is one of my top 10.

Yes, it is.

message 882: by Kirsten (new)

Kirsten (kmcripn) Thanks, Jonetta. Sometimes I'll re-read one and think: I forgot about that.

You're welcome.

message 884: by Kirsten (new)

Kirsten (kmcripn) Just finished CONCEALED IN DEATH. One of the top 20 in my humble opinion. I don't know what drug that reviewer on Amazon was on when he/she said that Nora didn't write it. I really enjoyed it. The whole cold case thing really appealed to me.

Totally iced.

message 885: by Kirsten (new)

Kirsten (kmcripn) Here I thought I'd get all caught up this weekend on the In Deaths. No such luck. I'm #12 in line to get FESTIVE from my library's Overdrive site and #2 at the library to get the physical book.

Or, I'll just use my credit on the 28th Audible.

And, they're off!

message 886: by Jonetta (new)

Jonetta (ejaygirl) | 15057 comments Mod
Nice to have options:)

message 887: by Kirsten (new)

Kirsten (kmcripn) Yep, though I'd prefer to do the audiobook. But, it looks like the hard copy will come in first. But, I'll probably use my credit on the 28th anyway.

message 888: by Chanel (new)

Chanel (bcsaturdai) I re-read from the beginning and just recently read Festive in Death. Can't wait until the next book!

message 889: by Kirsten (new)

Kirsten (kmcripn) I've gone back to the beginning while I wait for FESTIVE to come in to the library.

Just out of curiosity, how many times has this group gone through the series in the "Buddy Reads"?
